umm since when did Jay have a feature with Siegel, Free, even Bleek on his album? lol...Originally posted by Nick MangoldWes Welker is a great player. He's really taken advantage of watching film. If we don't keep a Spy on him, he could really open the Gate.Comment

Ok, so someone raided Timbaland's studio and leaked all his records for BP3 and I'm coming away a bit disappointed to be honest...
Off That sounds like a BP2 throwaway record. Drake sounds like he was thrown on for the hook. The song isn't bad, it's not exactly great either. Just meh.....I keep trying to listen and give this song a chance, but Reminder is so booooooring. Hov sounds so uninspired and the hook is weak. The beat is simple and has solid knock...... Venus vs. Mars is a cute little record. A clean beat by Timbo with trademark sounds and a quality concept carried out by Jay. I actually like this tune a lot......I don't know what the fuck he was thinking with Ghetto Techno. The potential was there, but the execution was piss poor. Really misses the mark, which is sad because that beat is phenomenal.
Good news is that J. Cole is on the album! Wooo. Here's an updated tracklist.
01.What We Talking About(Ft. Luke Steele) (Produced by Kanye West)
02.Thank You (Produced by ???)

LOL @ Jay-Z trying his hardest not to get outshined by J. Cole and still fell short.

Upon further review this album is............average.
The production is there for the most part. Jay-Z, while not at his best, is solid enough that he can hold his own. The issue is the hooks. The hooks are atrocious on damn near every song. Considering Jay-Z is no longer at his peak where his lyricism, presence and charisma would shine so bright that a listener would overlook that, the bad hooks stand out a lot more. There are couple of really nice tracks, but a lot of snoozers and WTF moments. While you can see his vision of new-age sound that the BP series is synonymous with, but the end result is an album that feels a bit disjointed because the new sounds miss more than they hit, and the artists featured on the hooks often fall short at fleshing out the songs.
