I'm about halfway through season 4 now and I gotta say even moreso than the junkie rolling with Bubbles or some of the school kids....THE MOST ANNOYING character on the show has been Carcetti's wife in the few scenes she's in. The facial expressions of the actress, the simplistic writing comes off as so cornyn, it just detracts from what's going on. She cannot be as stupid as it made her out to be (during the build to the election).
It's funny though, even with all the murderous gangsters, fucked up bureaucrats, crooked politicians and the kids who just don't know any better....I find myself getting pissed off at the characters of the parents as much as any of the others. The first was Dee's mother...when he was arrested and about to flip...she came off like the most evil witch in the world. The second is Bey's wife lol, even as over the top as she is...lazy bitch
But god damn, this show is cool in how they go into all these different entities and show how fucked up they all are. Police, unions, schools, politics, the inner city, drug factions....some more than others, but depressing as fuck.
Realistic.

idk how anyone in baltimore can appreciate this show. i never knew much about that city but now think of it as a flaming pit of scum. and its not like its not a real portrait of the city because the creators were in the BPD and worked for the news paper. Not to mention the real life people they used as actors...the real life Jay Landsman...snoop...the deacon ect ect
i just started season 4 again tooComment

I just lent the entire series to one of my clients. She is a 63 year old psychiatrist who loves Breaking Bad and watches a good amount of TV but she isn't getting through them fast enough because of the Olympics and it's irritating me because I want her to get through it so I can watch it again.Comment
