Considering each season of The Wire introduces a lot of new characters, and focuses on a different part of Baltimore. It is quite unique in this way.

Comparing Band of Brothers to The Wire is fucking moronic. BoB is a REAL story. The Wire is a fictional show.

i only got through season 4 of this show and have no idea what has stopped me from getting season 5 on dvd to complete my collection. but i agree with this being ONE of the best shows on tv. its hard to place some shows like dexter, oz, x-files, seinfeld, arrested development above or below one another.

and as far as lost long i've argued that the first two seasons of lost were some of the most compelling, engrossing tv i've ever watched...then it all went to hell in a handbag, i haven't watched anything past the 3rd or 4th episode of season 3 and i'm not even sure i wanna find out what the fuck is going on.
