    Drum N Bass Thread

    Any DnB listeners here?

    Just gonna throw a line out here and see if anyone else listens to this stuff....will throw some more up here if any interest pops up.

    Currently rocking out to.....

    Gein
    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yynGJBwEsI"]YouTube - Gein - The Sermon[/ame]
    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0aDnkqRhXg&feature=related"]YouTube - Gein - Hell (Audio remix)[/ame]

    Gein is dark, heavy and pretty hardcore stuff. Someone who's not quite got an ear for DnB might want to start with some more mainstream stuff before diving in.

    Qemists
    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRVKb2VJYiA&feature=related"]YouTube - The Qemists - Stompbox (Spor Remix)[/ame]
    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82HufyOTv70&feature=related"]YouTube - The Qemists - Let There Be Light[/ame]

    These guys are easier to get into, shit load of fun to listen to.

    Pendulum
    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryTOjUJz1PM&feature=related"]YouTube - Pendulum - Blood Sugar[/ame]
    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kJ09FpWoaM&feature=related"]YouTube - tarantula[/ame]
    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqh9N-Mw5E"]YouTube - pendulum - slam[/ame]

    Pendulum is about as mainstream as it gets. The 2nd track listed there is one of my favourite songs ever, just bumpin. If you are curious about this kind of music, this is probably where you'd start, although fans of 'real' or 'underground' stuff despise this band I still enjoy some of what they do.

    Black Sun Empire
    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUuvIi3UFK4"]YouTube - Black Sun Empire - Arrakis[/ame]
    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BE6wt300Vfw&feature=related"]YouTube - Black Sun Empire - Breach[/ame]

    BSE is pretty popular but not part of the mainstream sound. They aren't as intense or as hardcore as some of the stuff listed above, but still a pretty nice beat.

    Spor

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ix8gYj3Wjk"]YouTube - 1 Up - Spor[/ame]
    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6hx28d8cQY&feature=related"]YouTube - Spor-The Resistance[/ame]

    Spor is another awesome artist. First track there is bangin, I love when they use like old school Nintendo sounding beats.

    DJ Fresh
    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rk2x5owMYGk&feature=related"]YouTube - DJ Fresh Feat. MC Darrison - All That Jazz[/ame]
    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNK_fGK1E5Y&feature=related"]YouTube - DJ Fresh - X Project[/ame]

    The 2nd track is another one that uses old school video game sounding beats. Love it. Fresh is easy to dig and pick up.

    Ummmmmmm that'll be all for now.

    Don't hurt yourself.

        I listen to Enter Shikari frontman Rou's stuff..he goes by DJ Rout or somethin..
        They use some DnB stuff in their music sometimes..since theyre all into that kind of stuff.

          I love shit like this in small doses. Never know who the better acts are and where to find it, though.
