This is the same thing that always happen whenever someone releases a list. It's Maestro's opinion, just because you don't like Lil' Wayne doesn't make anyone who likes him idiots. Yes you can say "But Wayne really does suck and Andre 3K is a real artist" and people can say the exact opposite, it's their opinions vs. yours. I don't understand why people seem to get their feelings hurt over things like this. So what if someone enjoys Wayne, let them listen to Wayne and you can keep on listening to whoever you like.

Yes and no. Its a mix of both lyrical talent and the ability to catch the attention of the mainstream media. I think in the intro i explained why Soulja Boy is not in here, he has little to no lyrical talent.

Part of me wants to make fun of this list, but then part of me doesn't want to be a backpacker / rap elitist that hypes up a bunch of rappers who can't sell. A lot of the "better" rappers not on this list have some fatal flaw like having a shitty ear for beats / rapping about shit no one wants to hear about / complaining about how the industry is unfair constantly. Joe Buddens a good example off all this, I know he's talented but I can't listen to him cause he suffers from all three of the above things.

Nah brah, i don't take too many things personal on the interwebz. From what i understand Wayne does his own lyrics. By listen i meant disect the lyrics and his words to hear how many punchlines he throws down on a daily.
