The two were released on bail after paying $20,000 each, TMZ reported. Representatives from the Presidio County Sheriff's Department said no information was available.
TMZ also reported that the hotel in question is San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara County. Rosewood Hotels — which owns San Ysidro Ranch — and county officials refused to confirm the report.
Drew Sugars, the public information officer for the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department, told TVGuide.com, "We've requested extradition and we're waiting to find out what happens."
Calls to Quaid's commercial agent were not returned.
Quaid, 58, is the brother of actor Dennis Quaid. The Oscar- and Emmy-nominated actor is best known for his roles in Brokeback Mountain, The Last Picture Show and the National Lampoon's Vacation films.
