    Everyones talking about music....

But what type of movies do you enjoy? Any favorite directors?

One of my favorite directors is Clint Eastwood. I love how his movies are so badass yet they don't need any action scenes, they're slow as fuck. It's a strange feeling watching his movies. Like I said the movies mooooveee sooooo slowwwww and there's not alot of music in the background or nothing. Most of it consist of 2 maybe 3 people talking calmly to each other.

Grand Torino, Mystic River and Million Dollar Baby are my biggest examples of this.

I still haven't gotten around to seenig Letters from Iwo Jima or Flags of Our Fathers but I want to.

Then I also love movies with action gun scenes that involves more than loud music in the background and people just running and shooting like crazy. I like the one that can carry on for 10+ minutes and involves the people using their brains.

My 2 favorite like this are Way of the Gun and No Country for Old Men

In Way of the Gun they weren't 2 bad asses that could jump all super high or just run in a room and take out 10 people in a matter of seconds they actually used alot of tactics in it.

You can see alittle of it in Scenes like this. The bitch that made them has embedding disabled.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BovXzH36M0I"]YouTube - Way of the Gun "Move Moving"[/ame]

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uk8f3D4zZK4"]YouTube - The Way of the Gun Shootout[/ame]

Maybe there are alot of movies like that but that was the first I saw and haven't seen many since.

Fuck I'm gonna go watch the movie now....

I <3 martial arts flicks, especially old school Shaw Brothers.

Wong Kar-wai and Tarantino are my favorite directors. I haven't been disappointed by either yet.

I'm a big comedy guy, love most of the Apatow movies. Also love Broken Lizard. Jay Chandreasodkdeoadoajroer is my dude.

As for dramas, give me Christopher Nolan all day. Memento, Insomnia, Following, Dark Knight, all are FTW.

          Departed
          City of God
          40 Year Old Virgin
          GoodFellas
          Children of Men

LOL. I have Costner just above Dennis Quaid on my "This movie will suck because he's in it and I hate him" list. Difference of opinion I guess.

#1 on that list is Nicholas Cage for me. I agree with Quaid and Costner though, not a fan of either.

My favorite directors are David Fincher, the Coen brothers, Scorsese and Eastwood in that order. Actors: Denzel Washington, Edward Norton, Kevin Spacey, Sean Penn, Paul Rudd and Robert De Niro.

Oh yeah I forgot about the old Kung-Fu movies.

In current American fighting movies the cameras moving every 2 seconds and you can't see shit, I loved how they did it back in the day in the old Jet Li and Jackie Chan movies. They basically just set the camera down and let them fight without cutting shit.

A Snake in the Eagles Shadow is my favorite oldschool kung fu movie.

Also I liked The 36th Chambers of Shao Lin which is where Wu-Tang got the name of their CD for.

I don't know how big it was but I always thought of that movie as epic.

My favorite directors (in no particular order):

Clint Eastwood - His movies typically have great stories and great performances.
Christopher Nolan - I'm a sucker for well done movies with nonlinear storylines, and he's one of the best.
Darren Aronofsky - His movies give great visuals with a variety of camera techniques. Some good stories to boot.
Stanley Kubrick - How many classics has this guy directed?
