i personally dont have to many favs in the movies. The thing that i love is a very strong dramatic movie or scene. That and things that are shocking.

Example for me would be the scene in platoon where willam dafoe gets shot by barnes and then runs out of the jungle as the helis are leaving. Intense

another great scene is from goodfellas. No dialog. Jimmy and Tommy standing at the bar and sunshine of your love starts playing and at that moment you see that jimmy has decided to kill maury....awesome

      Gilliam's the man.

Him and some fella called Cue-Brick.

Apart from those two any film made in the last 15 years is probably just some boring CGI-fest and I would rather slow-bake my penis for ten hours at gas mark 6 than watch half a nano-second of a trailer for any of them

'Fast and Furious'? Yay, Hitchcock could only dream of producing such genius.

      Cinema died in 1941.

I don't usually look for directors or actors, but Kubrick, Scorsese, and Tim Burton as directors. Nothing really for actors, Ewan McGregor and Zooey Deschanel, I guess.

        Favorite movies:
        Big Fish
        Eternal Sunshine
        500 Days of Summer
        V for Vendetta
In the Loop (As far as comedies go)
        Paranormal Activity (And horror)

Then pretty much all of the classics, The Birth of a Nation, The Graduate, Citizen Kane, etc, etc.

I think Will Smith is the best out now, he has done such a wide range of roles. Makes people cry one movie, makes them laugh the next, and then brings a shit load of action on the next one.

          Romance
          Comedy
          Action
Alien movies like MIB and Independence day

Does just about everything except horror, which was a smart decision.

By now, you guys know I'll watch any movie. Don't really have a favorite type unless you count my guilty pleasures: old school kung fu flicks, slasher movies & blaxploitation.

            Old school Kung Fu classics:
            The 36th Chamber of Shaolin
            Five Deadly Venom
            Enter the Dragon
Return of the Dragon (AKA Way of the Dragon)
most things put out by the Shaw Brothers

            Slasher faves:
            A Nightmare of Elm Street
            Scream
            Halloween (original)
            Happy Birthday to Me
Anything in the Friday the 13th series

            Bad Ass Blaxploitation:
            The Mack
            Superfly
            TNT Jackson
            Dolemite
            Three the Hard Way
Absolutely, positively anything starring Pam Grier

I'll talk directors & actors later.

Good point...he very often makes me cry when I see his films.

Either that or he makes me shit blood and bile and wish that the first little fishy that crawled onto land and declared "I am man" was eaten by an bloody great big Tyrannosaurus and thus save us all the fucking arse-ache of having to endure Will Fucking Smith.

              But then I'm like that...

I was going to criticize that, but I knew you would see it eventually, and you can easily remark upon it better than I.

                    Whoa, something personal?

                    Five Deadly Venoms was FTW.

Nah, I just tend to use over-elaborate proclamations of my disdain for public figures whose ubiquitousness seems in spite of their lack of ability.

You should hear me rant about Robbie Williams or Simon Cowell. It makes your average Slayer lyric sound like a Pam Ayres poem.
