Yes, it really is. Michael C Hall does a FANTASTIC job portraying the character. I honestly can't picture any other person playing the role of Dexter..

And the books are VERY well written..

Awesome acting by the lead, great writing and pretty much every episode is better than the one before.

I'd say it's the 3rd or 4th best show I've ever watched from beginning to end.

Downloading the torrent now - anyone know why Dexter episodes are always bigger files? Every other hour length show I currenly download like Mad Men and Fringe are all 1.09 GB while Dexter is 1.46 GB per episode. Same with the avi versions - Dexter is 550 while every other show of the same length is 350.

Dexter doesn't have commercials so its usually around 55 minutes on average each episode.

I think the largest factors in file size are length and broadcaster. Shows on premium channels like HBO and Shotime typically have larger file sizes than those on that air on AMC or USA. Miniseries sometimes have larger file sizes as well.

I love how the name of the episode is "My Bad" haha....decent premiere, had to start setting some things in motion for the rest of the season.

I think it set up a few things: Dexter's meeting with the FBI, the Debra/Joey thing, obviously Elliot is going to play a role in the whole thing.
