Exact same thoughts. I was convinced about halfway through season 5 that Rita was going to die. Either Dexter would off her or someone else. And I'm glad it happened. Bitch was becoming a mothafuckin problem.

Also, I think season 6 is going to revolve around a female serial killer that Dexter falls for.

I guess I was a little off in predicting exactly how it'd come about, but this is pretty much what I expected the season to revolve around.

The show is still intense as ever, though. I love the actor that plays the PI. He is phenomenal. But Julia Stylez is a piece of shit. I forgot just how bad she actually is. Fortunately, I think she'll be off'd or commit suicide in the last episode.

I can see cases being made for all of them biting the bullet. A lot of story lines still open. Dexter Vs. Chase is the big one, but you still have the Santa Muerta killer which has been on the back burner for a while, and the PI is a loose cannon now that Quinn told him to fuck off.

PI has to die.. I think Quinn might get killed by him.. Lumen will die and Dexter will kill Jordan Chase.. Deb will begin investigating Dexter to leave the cliffhanger for next season..

I like the idea of Lumen's character so much more than I actually like her. Julia Stiles was not the best choice for this character, but it's working, so I won't complain.

I, too, think she is going to die. I'll rank the characters in order of probability they'll get killed. IMO obviously.
