I hate you all for ruining this season for me. I enjoyed it overall, even though it started out slow and wasn't as good as the last season. Reading all of these spoilers has made me think about what happened way too much..

I really liked it up until the last two episodes, when the Jordan thing lost steam and Liddy, well, yeah.

Basically, everything was wrapped up too quickly, sloppily and joylessly for me to even appreciate it as drama.

It was a solid season until the last two ep's. I loved the Jordan Chase character, just hate how they punted on his storyline so early on in the finale. Same goes for Liddy last week.

I wish they used season ending cliffhangers more often, every season except 4 wrapped up nice and neatly in the last episode, and didn't leave a lot of suspense for the next premier

you are either trying to make excuses for the plot holes, or you are part of the dumbing it down audience that most shows cater too.

seth already nailed it but just to further emphasize that this show is full of a ton of holes. they were not a big deal until season 4 when the finale exposed a really huge hole when dexter was hiding in the garage. This season has been terrible with the holes. Like the Santa whatever murders and the lumen story. The thing that carried this show was the evil of the serial killer offset by what a likable character he is and the stories that were fresh and interesting.

now its just getting stale and full of bad writting and even worse stories. Are they really holding people over to season 6 with suspense of quinn knowing that liddy was follwing dexter around? it that really the carrot dangling in front of us? WEAK

this was a bad season. It started bad, picked up and got good and then ended with a terrible finale. Having super sleuth Deb Morgan all of a sudden revert back to thoughts from 5 years ago and let the 2 killers she has been so desperately hunting all season go free was a HORRIBLE idea. Btw, these thoughts of dexters brother from season 1 have never once been mentioned until the finale even though she had see those DVD weeks ago. WEAK

and this season ended just like last season with dexters love interest being removed from the show...which oh btw was also done in season 2. But i give the writters credit this time. They had the courage to actually do it different this season....instead of killing her, they let her live....WEAK

can someone explain to me the point of dexter and rita having a son? for a single father he sure manages to have a ton of free time by never spending a moment with his kid.....thats believable and an excellent idea to add into the show.....WEAK

I am extremely disappointed with how they ended that season. Seth and NAHSTE have pretty much said everything I feel, so I'm glad I don't need to dive into it.

Season 5 was Eugene Greer. Season 6 needs to reinvent itself.

The Jordan Chase storyline wound up looking like Vinny Chase's career.

The Jordan Chase storyline could have been sooooooo good.

The writers were clearly scared to go with a central villain for a whole season coming off Trinity and the GOAT season...it is like they were scared that they couldn't outdo the previous season and they held back as a result.

Yeah, the Jordan Chase character was so awesome, and the TAKE IT! catchphrase will live on. But they totally punted on the story.

They need to include more Harry, hes the best supporting character and it blows when he just disappears for half the season.

I'm not trying to cover up all these holes, I'm not that big a fanboy. Just trying to throw some logic into this one instance.

now its just getting stale and full of bad writting and even worse stories. Are they really holding people over to season 6 with suspense of quinn knowing that liddy was follwing dexter around? it that really the carrot dangling in front of us? WEAK
You guys need to make like me and re-watch the shows so that you have a FULL understanding of what happened.

At the end when Dexter was doing the bloodwork he forged it so it would say the blood wasn't liddy's. Quinn got off, in effect Dexter was off the hook as well. Quinn says thank you or something to that effect to Dexter and they live happily ever after.

Quinn going after Dexter or whatever isn't any sort of carrot they are dangling. They resolved that, yes Quinn knows, no he's not going to try and get him to jail or whatever. Pay attention.

this was a bad season. It started bad, picked up and got good and then ended with a terrible finale. Having super sleuth Deb Morgan all of a sudden revert back to thoughts from 5 years ago and let the 2 killers she has been so desperately hunting all season go free was a HORRIBLE idea. Why do you think it was a horrible idea? She thinks Jordan Chase and company got what they deserve. She also wasn't hunting them "all season". Just until the barrel girls were on the street after the car accident. I think that was around mid-season.

Why is that being mentioned once weak? It's just sort of a sidenote. If you are talking about what I said earlier about Deb knowing that The Ice Truck Killer is Dex's brother. That was in a prior season.

and this season ended just like last season with dexters love interest being removed from the show...which oh btw was also done in season 2. The ending last season was great imo, it was absolutely shocking with Rita dying. Now this season definitely wasn't nearly as strong.

How does he not spend anytime with his kid? His son spent the weekend at his step-kids grandmothers with their nanny as well. It was just a span of I believe 3 days or something?

I don't like this season as much as others but you guys act like it's the worst show on television. There are of course holes and there are things I don't like though. I just disagree on that one instance. To say "Well someone put a bag in the same bay as The Bay Harbor Butcher, that must be him." Absolutely ridiculous.

I don't like Harry either, he's a fucking naysayer and a nagger. They might as well have Rita come in and rain on the parade too if we're always gonna have these "Harry is a party pooper" exchanges. His character was essential to the early seasons but he's become less and less needed and more and more annoying.

And nobody is acting like it's the worst show on television Aso. If it was, we wouldn't watch and definitely wouldn't post in this thread every week. I don't type paragraphs worth of frustrations for shows I don't love. It's because I love Dexter so much that this season was such a let down for me.
