Though Community has been sadly absent from NBC's Thursday night lineup since last December, the cast and crew have been hard at work finishing up Season 3, and now we finally know when we'll get to see their work. According to a tweet from showrunner Dan Harmon, Community will be returning to Thursday nights at 8 p.m., the same time slot it had before being bumped last fall in favor of adding Up All Night to Thursdays and making room for the return of 30 Rock.
There's no information on how the rest of the Thursday scheduled will be shuffled to make room for Community, and of course, it's way too early to know if this means the show will get the fourth season that's looked dicey ever since the hiatus announcement. Speaking in early January, NBC President Bob Greenblatt hinted that a fourth season might not be that likely, especially if their other new shows perform better than the consistently low-rated Community.
But those are questions for another time. For now, we can count on Community returning in a few short weeks, and between that and the imminent return of Mad Men, making March one of the best months for TV fans in a long while. Grab a Greendale Human Being and celebrate!Comment
