Most Overated Bands

Not a big fan of u2, and I hate fallout boy...but Tool and Avenged Sevenfold are two of the most talented bands out there. Maybe the music doesn't exactly sing your tune, but that doesn't mean it's overrated or it sucks....I'd say being close minded to thinking the only good music is music you like is what would suck;).
To call one of the most musically talented bands, if not the most musically talented band(tool) out there right now overrated and to say they suck is pretty obscure....go to a concert, you'll never find anything that matches it.

u2 according to my mom and dad was pretty good back in the day so i guess unless your from their generation they are like 36-40 your opinion of who is overrated is shit

In this day and age people like oldies just as much if not more than they like new music, especially when it comes to rock. That's like saying you'd have to be in atleast high school by the 80's to enjoy MJ. Or nobody from this current generation could enjoy Led Zeppelin.

well music that is older than you cant really be judged for being overrated b/c the type of music liked back then could be different now and also it could just not be your favorite type of music

u2 hasnt really wrote a new song for quite a bit at least the last time i heard about a new song was like in 2006 or something

no...saying someone like Lil Wayne, Miley Cyrus, etc. sucks is legit, because there's no real talent, hence why they suck.........but saying they suck is not an opinion but a statement about that bands talent. I'm not a fan of screamo at all, however...I'd never ever say that a screamo band sucks, because the level of talent in most of those bands are off the charts, it's just not my style of music.

If you're into songs in 4/4 time with 3 chords, than be my guest and listen away...but that doesn't make a band that focus's on technicality suck.

Lack of knowledge on a subject should be enough not to post but when I see people throwing out bands like U2, Queen and even Tool as over rated I just shake my head.

playing notes in time on key is musical talent.

how you view that talent is your opinion...but taking credit away from that talent because you don't like it is not.

The thing is the people in here listen to that genre and can make an valid opinion.

For example person A has listened to rock for years so if he wants to say a certain rock band sucks or have no talent then his opinion isn't biased.

However if some guy who just started listening to rap yesterday wants to say a certain rapper sucks then that's a completely different thing.

Thank you, I'm tired of people saying Wayne has no talent, now a couple years ago he must of bumped his head or maybe he took the wrong drug and lost what you liked about him but he has talent. Saying he is complete garbage what a bunch of people around here say is ludicrous.
