Popularity=/=talented. Again, turn the radio on and just listen...you'll struggle to find anything that wasn't done on a computer. I'll give some credit to lady gaga though, for being weird as fuck, she has a very solid voice. Miley's more well known because she's much more marketable. U2 is held as Gods amongst men. Are they really better than 80's bands that were around at that time. I'd take Peter Gabriel anyday over these losers. I don't see why everyone gets so hard for U2, they're so average. They maybe have two songs I like.

I like Peter Gabriel too, but the guy releases a new album every eight years or so ... and every song is 7 to 10 minutes long.
U2 may be overrated, but they consistently release catchy shit and have sold a billion albums.
