    What?

This man is musically retarded I think.

He's also said the following in this thread:

Linkin Park- HAve some REALLLYY good songs - they have been legends for the longest, VERY underrated
Linkin Park is under rated.... ookkkkk??? lol. They might actually be over rated considering how simplistic most of their songs are. The thing with them though is they know how to make music that sounds good so I don't fault them for that. You don't need complicated songs to make them sound good.

    then there is this:

Metallica has the same deal as ACDC - all there shit sounds the same ..
Really? So Metallica who started as a thrash band (kill em all) then to a metal band, then hard rock, then somewhat blues/country and now modern metal all sounds the same. Again I ask what are you smokin?

Big surprise Houston Boy is clapping this. He has no idea what people like Heelsox is talking about.

Then there is the Miley Cirus has some talent. She sounds like shit when she sings, Has a bitch load of writers doing almost everything for her lyrically. Started as a TV star on a kids show and is riding her fathers one hit wonder "musician" status. Sorry she isn't talented. She just does nothing else except try to learn how to be talented and fails @ it big time.

    Leafs offseason training!

lol same thing again eh? Obviously the people who are selling her out and watching her show think she has talent. Who's to say your opinion is more valid than theirs, especially seeing how she's bigger than Tool.

Nirvana fucking sucks, all their songs sound the same, and if Kurt Cobain didn't die than they would still suck touring the country in shitty ass half sold out music centers.
This guy also believes Blink 182 sucks so his opinion is obviously based on some homosexuality experiences.

and no one going to a Miley Cyrus concert is going for the talent...they're going cause they enjoy her songs.

oh and lol @ Miley Cyrus being "bigger than tool" just cause you hadn't heard of Tool before vsn. Just to throw this out there, Tool's gone triple platinum with albums twice, and the last one went Platinum in a month. They've also got 7 grammy's under their belt. No big deal though, I know. A disney channel star riding the coat-tails of her dads "career" to get popular for 1 summer is much bigger.
lol I knew who Tool were before Rush/Len probably even knew what a forum was yet along had their own.

Miley is a pop star, ask around the country and she's known everywhere. From the richest of places to the poorest of places she's known, then try asking the same people about Tool.......

The fact that you could even question me about not knowing who Tool was is proof enough, I bet you wouldn't question anyones knowledge on the existince of Miley.

and lol at 1 summer, what were the Tool members doing at the age of 15?

I couldn't argue with you that Miley Cyrus is better due to the simple fact that it's once again just an opinion. But when you say she's not bigger than Tool that's pushing it...

Everything else around her isn't talent, some guy fucking around in garage band could make it...but she does have a good voice, unlike Miley Cyrus.

If anything...you're making the argument that Miley is overrated and Tool is underrated ;). Thanks bud.

and I questioned you because everytime Tool is brought up, you're like "oh yeah I know that one song...something pieces fit."

Fucking around in various bands with Tom Morrello from Rage, not riding the coattails of their dads career and using that to try and also make themselves big?

Miley's more well known because she's much more marketable. She's on lunchboxes, TV, movies, etc. etc. She appeals to kids and people in general a little more than an anti-conformist group based on alot of drugs and what's wrong with society. However...look at it in this perspective, even though miley is EVERYWHERE...Tool, without putting out commercials, and movies, and radio hits, or even a fucking concert DVD, while taking 5 year breaks still sells more albums...interesting huh?
Still.....doesnt'.....change the fact that she's bigger than Tool, which is the point I'm making.

I'm not saying anything about her or Tools talent lvl, just stating that she's bigger than Tool and while she may have road her dad's coatails to get in she's sure as hell is gonna be bigger than he ever could've dreamed of. Do you know how much money this girl is on pace to have?

and I really think you are underestimating Tool's following, it's extremely cult like. Yes the soccer mom might not know them because they don't come on the top 40 station...but like I said, even with just about zero marketability and advertisement, nothing available on iTunes or ringtones, etc....Tool still manages to outsell Miley...
Hmmm well sell wise and career as a whole I'd rather be in Miley's shoes at what? The age of 16? Then Tools, but that's just me.....

So are we doing this MLK/Ghandi style with peace or Black Panther/Malcom X style with violence?

I like Peter Gabriel too, but the guy releases a new album every eight years or so ... and every song is 7 to 10 minutes long.
U2 may be overrated, but they consistently release catchy shit and have sold a billion albums.
