Ah the good old days where he actually flowed to a beat and had songs with a general theme.

Now we get disjointed, repeat rhyming bars with dumbass unrelated punchlines.

I first heard Wayne on Juvenile's 400 degreez, and I bought Tha Block Is Hot when it came out. Then I started getting into more underground stuff and thought he was just a bling rapper. Then he came with Tha Carter I & II and I became a fan again. Now he's losing me again.

The Hot Boys "Get It How U Live" album was when I first heard him. He used to never curse on his songs because he was still a teenager and his mom didn't want him cursing.

Loved The Block Is Hot and Lights Out. Kind of quit listening to music in general for while, and the picked up on him again with The Carter II, which I think is his best work. But I hate pretty much anything since The Carter II, and could do without Wayne.

No, not at all, you are the only one.

Seriously though, did you think that Lil Wayne was at some point obscure or something? He's been a major artist since debuting as a teenager, the entire country has known of him for 10 years....we all listened to him before The Carter, just saying.

Back that ass up was such a hot song, in the 7th grade.

Apparently Vinsane wasn't even born when you were in 7th grade. Apparently you and I were on some underground hip hop site back then and are the only people who have uncovered such an obscure artifact. Props to us for having such awesome taste in underground music. We were so ahead of our peers with that one.

Because according to this thread, Lil Wayne was below the radar to everyone else, despite being a part of one of the biggest and most commercially viable rap groups of all time.

                            Who knew?
