If anyone likes Paramore, listen to VersaEmerge, they're better imo, and i live like 10 mins from them and they're on the same record label as Paramore
Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix- it's their 4th album and if you enjoy it, you can go back and get the rest. They're French synth popsters, which is why they're right up your alley. I'm sure you've heard parts of this album already.
So far, six songs into Amadeus, Phoenix doesn't sound at all like French synth popsters. Not even close.
Don't get me wrong, the album is OK, but I feel like I've heard this stuff before. It doesn't come across as even remotely revolutionary.
I don't think they're trying to be revolutionary. But they're Parisian use a synthesizer and drum machine and more, so if they're not French synth popsters then I don't know what is. They won a grammy this year as well.

Meh. Again, I like the album, but awards don't make me think it's a great album.

I'm currently listening to Reptilla by the Strokes
I'm seeing Johnny Marr in a bar in 9 days - he's touring with some English Indie band called the Cribs - still haven't actually downloaded or heard a single note of any of their songs.
Although reading their Wikipedia page I'm getting a real early Libertines (i.e. Decent Libertines before the shit started hitting the fan) vibe about them, which can only be a good thing. And with Marr, they might even crank out a little Smiths cover/jam.
