A few guys did this over at OS and it was a pretty big success, hopefully we can get it going around here.

Basically, make an album/mixtape of your favorite songs from the year. Track list them, put some album art, go all the fuck out, can be really any length though it's pretty much up to you.

It's a great way to hear some new music, catch up on ones you might have missed or whatever. I still have a bunch of older ones from OS still on the Zune.
