I like Teen Spirit and Heart Shaped Box. I downloaded the Nevermind CD but just can't get into the rest of their songs

Nevermind is probably my favorite album of all-time.

Tech N9ne has a wide variety of music within his own catalog. Some of his songs are beasty and others are just kind of demonic and out there. I have listened to just about every song Tecn N9ne has and I can say that I only like about half of it. With the ones I dont like, I really don't like. With the ones I do like, I really like.

I agree with Jay-Z mentioned him earlier in the thread.

lol well see Tech-9 is one of those artist I need help with.

Whenever I try out new artist I'd rather just have some of their fans tell me their best songs so I don't run into the crap they have.

For instance if I had just gotten out of jail or something and was just now picking up Kanye and decided to listen to his latest CD 808's, I'd probably wouldn't even bother listening to his older classic CD's.
Or if the first Eminem song I heard was something like "Without Me" I wouldn't understand why some people say he's one the the greatest ever.

Maybe I'm just listening to the wrong Tech-9 songs.

I can bare Jay-Z but I can't agree when people are saying he's one of the best ever. He wouldn't even touch my top 10 list.

Doesn't apply to everyone here, but a lot of people don't realize that Jay-Z's singles are ALWAYS the worst songs on the album (except Empire State of Mind i guess lol). If I had only heard Dirt off my Shoulder, Change Clothes, Bonnie & Clyde, Roc Boys, H to the Izzo, etc., I would think he was terribly overrated as well.

His career is funny. He has like 9 #1 Albums and only 1 #1 Single and that's his latest Empire State of Mine. And 90% of the reason that song is good is because of Alicia Keys lol.

I must say that I do like Jay-Z "Give It To Me"

I remember I was getting head in the bathroom and that song was bumping loud in the living room. When I hear that song it brings back an awesome memory.

I could care less about Empire State of Mind because I could care less about New York. It is a quality song but I change the station when it comes on or roll my eyes if I hear it played over a TV show during a segment. I think part of the reason he (and the song) is considered so great is because a lot of hip hop/rap comes out of New York and that is where MTV is and (i think) most of the magazine publications. Im not denying that he is great because I think he has lasted as long as he has for a reason. I bet that is a way bigger song in the North East because that song is nothing over here in Southern California.

lol like I said I just like Alicia Keys voice and when Jay-Z starts rapping again I usually tune out and daydream.

Give it to me and Big Pimping are my favorite singles.
