the Rock can do whatever the fuck he pleases. I watched the Nick Choice Awards* a few months back (I think) and he was the host. Kids fucking love this guy, I don't blame him.

*My Aunt and Uncle, whom I was raised by, have a 6 year old child. I've seen faaar too many children shows/events than I'd like.

He looks to be doing more movies geared towards kids... I took my neices to see the Chipmunks movie and they showed this as a trailer, one thing I noticed is he was called "Dwayne Johnson" instead of the Rock so I don't know...

Dunno if his career panned out the way I thought it would (can you be a "serious" actor and still be a kids movie star?), but I can applaud him for dropping "The Rock" moniker.

His movies work the same way Hulk Hogan's did... big dude with tons of talent is placed in impossible situation, makes good with child's assistance.

If Cena took the money to make another "Pacifier," he'd probably go the same rout that Johnson did.

The Rock is like Eddie Murphy - just cashing in.

He can't win either way - if he tried to get serious about acting, he would just get laughed at, so he might as well cash in.

And, frankly, for many people movies are just an escape, not a calling.

Have you seen him do action movies? Most have been dull. Even though I think he could be the next Arnold or Stallone, but instead he keeps making kids movies that do well. Why would he change like everyone else has said.
