This Spiderman seems a lot more emo/dark, which is pretty cool IMO.

Parkers life has been surrounded with death and disappointment, so I like the Emo/loner take on him... Makes sense!

Emma Stone, looks good as a blond. But that shouldn't be a surprise, I read somewhere once she's a natural blond. She's not a terrible actress either, hopefully she can pull off a good Gwen.

Yeah they were both a part of S.H.I.E.L.D. and worked with Wolverine. I bet Peter finds the web cartridges in his dad's suitcase. Or something similar that he modifies to use the web.

Maybe his dad left the web cartridges or something? who knows, hard to tell from that trailer. Once it comes out in HD we'll be able to tell more. I'm just glad they actually added the web cartridges for this one, that was a huge problem I had with those other movies, that the web just somehow magically came out of his body. Also it made the little gesture he does (similar to the "I Love You" hand sign) to shoot the web mean absolutely NOTHING.

No offense but why would the dad leave web cartridges? His dad randomly knew that his son was going to get bite by a mutated spider?

While I agree Heath was great in the movie I think the movie is good on its own merits.


Back to Spider-Man, I had read about the POV scene, but seeing it in the trailer made it kind of like a video game honestly, mostly Mirror's Edge. The movie looks like it will go deeper into Peter's backstory including his family, a bit confused as to what the father left behind though, maybe the suit, idk. I do like how they bring everyone together working at Oscorp if I remember correctly. I dont quite understand how Sony kept toying with people and never answering if the Lizard was in the movie, which was pretty much confirmed when production started. The Bollywood guy is the movie is stupid, he said Rhys sp? was playing Osborn or something, and made up a bunch of stuff about the movie.

Maggie Gyllenhaal looks like an A fuck. She puts in a lot of effort.

The movie is about a teenager that gets infected with the poison of some super mutant spider and takes on fucking spider attributes...and the biggest issue you have, is how those spider attributes manifest in his biology?

the narration at the end of the trailer seems to suggest it was destiny to him becoming SM

"We all have secrets, the ones we keep, and the ones that are kept from us." Could mean many things though


Also, I believe when SM first showed up in the comics he had web shooters and it wasnt until later it became natural. So if this movie shows his parents and web shooters, it might be sticking to the origin story more than Raimi's

Hope they keep to that for this movie! I'd be a cool way for Sony and Marvel to bridge the gap between Spiderman and the Avengers. I'm sure that would never happen, but I can dream... You know Sony and Marvel would make a shit load of money, with a Spiderman & Avengers movie!

As far as I knew Proto Goblin was going to get a small amount of screen time, Lizard is who the series is banking on as the villain.

Also, I dont think it will be the Proto Goblin, the actor playing him has said he wasnt going to take the role if he had to wear a mask or anything, but along time ago, he was convinced the guy playing the Lizard was going to play Norman Osborn, so take what he says with a grain of salt
