Need Help Finding Two Movies

This has been bugging me for 3 days now. Ive looked all over the internet and no luck yet.

Both movies are in black and white and are considered old movies.

The 1st movie is about a woman trapped in her apartment with 3 guys. Its famous for a scene where one of the guy jumps outta the dark kitchen and grabs her as she runs by.

The 2nd movie is one im very foggy on. I think its about a man who gets tricked by his nieghbor or a salesmen and he is tied to the chair and his scarred out of his mind. Thats all I remember about this one.

Anyone know the titles to either of these movies? I'd really appreciate it.

Doesn't a movie have to be highly regarded, to be overrated?

Critics hated it, and other than a couple people here at VSN, every single person I know, including myself, think it blows. Talk about some of the worst acting in a movie, Willem Defoe should get some type of award for it. Razzies, how did you miss this guy? And don't even get me started on Sean Patrick Faggery. Of course, If I wasted my time looking at IMDB, I'm sure those faggots give it a 7.8 or higher.

The only movie that comes to mind, is ''Rear Window'' with James Stewart (1954.) A few more details would have been nice, but even so, give ''Rear Window'' a go, you won't regret it. Don't settle for any remakes, it has to be James Stewart.
