New show on HBO. For the Cudi fanboys, he's in it, but if the pilot is any indication, he's just a friend of the main 2 characters and not a focal point of the plot. Hard to tell if he's a good actor or not based on his limited use in the pilot (wasn't that impressed tbh).

But the show is fucking good. Maybe just because I can relate to it, having just moved to NYC and trying to "make it" here, but I really liked the feel to the pilot.

Great soundtrack too. I knew once I heard "Down and Out" by Cam'ron it was a keeper of a show.

Has anyone else but Palooza and HB seen this? Could be another hit by HBO.

I watched it on Demand and before I did I watched some little like 2 min "interview" with the main white dude and Kid Cudi and he said he liked it when he was in scenes with Cudi cause 99% of the time he was on the show he was partying or doing something fun.
Seems like Cudi is just gonna be that friend/guy participating in all the "cool" things to do around town.

But anywho the show looks good so far and has potential, watching people hustle is always entertaining. I was thinking about making a thread but I didn't want to say good things or recommended it yet cause it's still early.

I didn't decide to watch it because I expected Cudi to be a main role or do a good job, I just figured if Cudi choose to be in it it's most likely legit

Do you have any idea what time and day it comes on? I watched the first one on Demand but I can't find when the 2nd episode comes on anywhere.

Just like entourage. But comedies don't do well in hour format. I use the term comedy loosely for this one as it doesn't bring many LULZ.

Yeah I hate when shows do that, especially shows that have a certain feel that you can't get elsewhere.

But the mark of a good show is it leaves you wanting more. Gonna check out S2 if I can find a link after I play some VGs for a while.

I watched like 5 minutes of it, I was not impressed. It wasn't funny or particularly interesting, my only interest in the show is for Cudi.

2nd episode was solid, nothing spectacular. I was cooking during half of it so I'll have to re-watch.

I hate to keep comparing it to Entourage, but it has a similar episode format. That is to have a strictly regimented character development (about 5 min. of background per episode, in this case that he dropped out of FIT), and about 10 minutes of plot advancement so as not to run the show thin.

I think that it's a solid show, just hard to judge right now.
