Made a recent discovery - I can listen to catchy songs that don't have much going for them besides their beat IFF they're just party/hype songs.

I discovered something like that a few years back. Some songs are completely retarded when I'm by myself, but if it's being blasted in a car full of black people or if it's being played at a party they're badass.
A perfect example is "Pretty Boy Swag" by Soulja Boy, I hate it but I love it when it's being played at a party.

Yeah 3X is a nice little comeback song for Chris Brown. It should do well on the charts.

But, some shit I can listen to even if I'm not at a party. Eg Lil Jon. I can listen to his songs if I'm not at a party. And that damned G6 song by Far East Movement. I can listen to it, but it's just with a different mind frame than that with which I listen to Lupe or Bob.

Ie, with Lupe and Bob I'm breaking down the lyrics, tryiing to find the literal and abstract meanings. Same with the Beatles, Aerosmith, etc. With G6, I'm not looking for a deeper meaning, I'm putting myself in a good mood.

I'm kinda the same way, but I won't go too far and say I enjoy something like "Pretty Boy Swag" at a party. "Get Low" by Lil' Jon or "Lollipop" by Lil' Wayne...songs like that, I can enjoy listening to at a party.

Then again, half the time I'm usually too drunk enough to care what's playing.

There isn't anything in the music world that I'm anticipating more than All of the Lights. The snippets sounds fucking incredible. It has such an epic feel to it like We Major. I really hope it delivers.

Just realized how fucking disappointed I am that I saw Paranormal Activity 2 and missed-out on The Town AND Wall Street 2. Oh well. Such is life. I can always download them or buy them on DVD/Blu-Ray.

New info on Foo Fighters next album...

"He said that the album is being produced by BUTCH VIG, who also produced NIRVANA's Nevermind, and is being recorded in Grohl's garage without the use of digital recording tools."

So I'm watching the Star Wars prequel reviews by this dude RedLetterMedia on YouTube. The huge gaps he points out in the movies are great. I mean, I haven't watched these since I was young enough for them to be enjoyable... So you can understand if I can never watch them again now.

In other news, I've been burning DVDs today (when I've been home) and I downloaded the entire Rocky collection the other day. This includes the good ones (the first four), the shitty one I haven't seen (the fifth one), and the one I saw but wish hadn't been made (the sixth).
