Getting some done tonight. I think with Take Care I'll post something brief because I want my full thoughts in a big review. Been something I've been putting off for a while cause of other commitments.

1.) Don't Hold Your Applause | 4.75 - 5
2.) Double M Genius | 3 - 3.5
3.) Miami Nights | 3.25 - 4
4.) Legendary | 4.5 - 5
- Oh my Just Blaze. Welcome back.
5.) Lotus Flower Bomb (ft. Miguel) | 4 - 4.5
- Miguel's hook is a killer.
6.) Chain Music | 3.5 - 4
- Hated this song when it first came out, but it grew on me.
7.) Focused (ft. Kid Cudi) | 2.75 - 3
8.) Sabotage (ft. Lloyd) | 2 - 2.75
- Should have used "Let's Chill" if you wanted a Lloyd feature, Wale.
9.) White Linen (Coolin') (ft. Ne-Yo) | 2
10.) Slight Work (ft. Big Sean) | 3 - 3.75
- I really should hate this song, but Big Sean is perfect for this weird beat.
11.) Ambition (ft. Meek Mill & Rick Ross) | 5
12.) Illest Bitch | 3.5 - 4
13.) No Days Off | 3 - 3.5
14.) DC Or Nothing | 4 - 4.75
15.) That Way (ft. Jeremih & Rick Ross) | 5
Overall: 3.77/5
Brief Notes:
- Ambition is a good album, but it doesn't hold Attention Deficit's jockstrap. The sequence of "Focused", "Sabotage" and "White Linen (Coolin')" really bring this down, especially the latter two tracks.

- ASAP on ASAP on ASAP!
9.) Keep It G (ft. Chace Infinite & Spaceghost Purrp) | 3.5 - 4

- Best beat on here?

15.) Demons | 3.5 - 4
16.) Out of This World | 3 - 3.5
Overall: 3.86/5
Brief Notes:
- Clams Casino...remember that name. He really can kill it on the production tip and ASAP Rocky is an entertaining enough swag rapper to make this project a very enjoyable one.

1.) Intro | 3 - 3.5
2.) Dollar and a Dream III | 4 - 4.5
- Love the production, but can't get over the "can't outfart me" line.
3.) Can't Get Enough (ft. Trey Songz) | 4 - 4.75
- 2011 version of Big Pimpin'.
4.) Lights, Please | 5
5.) Interlude | 3 - 3.75
6.) Sideline Story | 5
- Gives me a Pac vibe.
7.) Mr. Nice Watch (ft. Jay-Z) | 3 - 3.5
- Hated it at first, but now it's okay. Hook is catchy and Hov wrecks it.
8.) Cole World | 2 - 2.75
9.) In The Morning (ft. Drake) | 4.75 - 5
10.) Lost Ones | 5
- Absolutely lived up to the hype. So happy I waited to listen to this.
11.) Nobody's Perfect (ft. Missy Elliott) | 4
- Listen to this song in the car sometime. That bass really surprises you.
12.) Never Told | 3.75 - 4
13.) Rise and Shine | 5
- Those horns!
14.) God's Gift | 4.5 - 5
15.) Breakdown | 5
16.) Work Out | 3.75 - 4
- I'm a sucker for that Paula Abdul sample. Sue me.
Overall: 4.20/5
Brief Notes:
- There's a part of me that's satisfied with Cole's debut and part of me that's disappointed. Tracks like "Cole World", "Work Out" and "Mr. Nice Watch" should never have been on here especially with all the awesome free tracks that were included on his mix-tapes. Still, I can't be disappointed with a great album that I went out and bought and listen to daily. Cole really improved his production tip on here compared to Friday Night Lights, although the beats to "Rise and Shine" and "God's Gift" sound a bit similar.

1.) Over My Dead Body | 4
2.) Shot For Me | 4 - 4.25
3.) Headlines | 4 - 4.5
- Abel with some hidden background vocals on 1:41 - 1:50.
4.) Crew Love (ft. The Weeknd) | 4.75 - 5
5.) Take Care (ft. Rihanna) | 3.5 - 4
6.) Marvin's Room / Buried Alive (Interlude) (ft. Kendrick Lamar) | 4.75 - 5
- Kendrick's verse can be taken in the point of view of the boyfiend in Marvin's Room. It's nice, but not needed though.
7.) Underground Kings | 4.5 - 5
8.) We'll Be Fine (ft. Birdman) | 2.75 - 3
- Not a fan of the beat.
9.) Make Me Proud (ft. Nicki Minaj) | 3 - 3.5
10.) Lord Knows (ft. Rick Ross) | 4.5 - 5
- "Know that I don't make music for niggas who don't get pussy/So those are the ones I count on to diss me or overlook me". Oh, and J-J-J-JUST BLAZE!
11.) Cameras / Good Ones Go (Interlude) | 4.25 - 5
- Would be higher if it was just Good Ones Go. Might be the best part of the entire album.
12.) Doing It Wrong (ft. Stevie Wonder) | 5
- Or maybe Stevie Wonder's harmonica solo is the best part of the album.
13.) The Real Her (ft. Lil' Wayne & Andre 3000) | 4.5 - 5
14.) HYFR (Hell Ya Fuckin' Right) (ft. Lil' Wayne) | 3
- Not as horrible as the title might suggest, but it sticks out like a sore thumb during this incredible ending stretch.
15.) Look What You've Done | 5
- Or maybe the phone call by his grandmother is the best part of the album.
16.) Practice | 4.75 - 5
- Clever remake, perfect for late-night activities.
17.) The Ride (ft. The Weeknd) | 5
- Abel sounds like a dream here.
Overall: 4.34/5
Brief Notes:
- This is not a rap album; let's get that out of the way right now. What this is, however, is an album that should be appreciated for its honesty and atmospheric feel. Drake addresses mostly relationships through the duration and although the casual music fan might feel like Drake comes across as whiny, you can absolutely put yourself in similar shoes (not the exact same shoes, because chances are you're not a mid-20s music star) and relate to what he's saying about women. As a college student who's been in a few relationships the past few years, I can see or have done some of the things Drake mentions throughout the album (i.e. the entire "Marvin's Room" concept).
- "Cameras" and "Practice" might be better on the chopped & screwed version of this, as crazy as that sounds.
- I'm still going to write a full review for this at some point and will edit it in when I do - just wanted to get something posted for the gradebook.

And shit, even I can relate to some of the things Drake is talking about on this album.Comment

I think that was an honest review of Cole World. I'd probably go a little lower on the score but it was by and large mediocre which is a shame since Cole is capable of so much more.Comment

Should have put Jay on Rise and Shine with the whole beginning sample, cut Mr. Nice Watch and Cole World and added It Won't Be Long and Cheer Up. I think that middle section with the two aforementioned tracks really made a big impact on people's perceptions on the album along with derailing the momentum it had after Sideline Story.

Exactly. You get Sideline Story which is like this incredible, engrossing track and then you go to "swag" shit. If you're going to make it a perceived concept album like he did, then do the concept, tell your story.Comment
