1.) Sacrilegious | 3.5 - 4
2.) There He Go | 4
3.) Hands On The Wheel (ft. A$AP Rocky) | 5
- Rocky bodies this. That flow is so easy to get addicted to.
4.) Sex Drive (ft. Jhene Aiko) | 2 - 2.5
- HATE this beat. Jhene's part is the lone highlight of this track.
5.) Oxy Music | 3 - 3.5
6.) My Hatin' Joint | 4 - 4.5
7.) Tookie Knows (Interlude) | 3 - 3.25
8.) Raymond 1969 | 3.25 - 4
9.) Sexting | 4
- I like the hook; could be catchy if that song were to blow up (it won't).
10.) Grooveline Pt. 1 (ft. Dom Kennedy & Curren$y) | 4.5 - 5
- Lex Luger showing some versatility here. Perfect beat for Curren$y to rip at the end.
11.) Gangsta In Designer (No Concept) | 3.75 - 4
12.) How We Feeling | 3.75 - 4
13.) Druggys Wit Hoes Again (ft. Ab-Soul) | 4 - 4.25
14.) Nightmare On Figg St. | 4.25 - 5
- Pretty interesting horrorcore take on "Niggas In Paris".
15.) My Homie | 3.5 - 4
16.) Blessed (ft. Kendrick Lamar) | 4.25 - 5
17.) niggaHs.already.know.davers.flow | 3 - 3.25
18.) 2 Raw (ft. Jay Rock) | 3.75 - 4
Overall: 3.65/5
Brief Notes:
- I don't think I'll ever become a big fan of Schoolboy Q, but he is entertaining enough. The production styles are all over the place, which leads to a lot of forgettable tracks and the biggest negative that I can pick out is that it seems all of the guest spots outshine Q. But even with all of that, Habits & Contradictions is a solid project that shows Top Dawg Entertainment isn't just made up of Kendrick Lamar and some shmucks.
