    The Town

Anyone interested in this? They mention that it's by the same studio as The Departed, as if that means something... I'm repelled because it looks almost like a Departed rip-off with Ben Affleck, who is not among my favorite actors... Granted, Jon Hamm's in it.

    Thoughts?

Gone Baby Gone was pure brilliance; Affleck knows how to direct.

Unfortunately, he doesn't know how to act. Looks like a bit of a ripoff of Heat, but that's okay.

Should be decent, but most likely forgettable.

Don't worry, Don Draper will catch the bad guys haha....I'll probably see this eventually because it looks pretty decent, I saw the trailer for it before Inception.

So he should never be the lead of a movie, right? Since he can't act... I mean, that's why I have low hopes for this one.

Agree with all of this. I think it'll be pretty solid, and Leighton Meester playing a skank is kind of intriguing, but I got strong "this is trying too much to be like Heat" vibes when viewing the trailer.

But still, Affleck is a good director.
