The only thing with Mad Men and Breaking Bad is that I prefer watching shows after they are off the air so I can watch it all at once. But that's just me.

My suggestion would be to watch:

          Californication (badass show)

The Pacific (If you like band Of Brothers)

Lost (Great show but the ending was very umm... well you will see.)
          I LOVE VSN

The only thing about double posting is I prefer to read every post just once.

                The three shows I mentioned:

Breaking Bad: See Leftwich's post for a good synopsis. It's got great cenery because it's set in Albuquerque and it really uses the sun and desert feel perfectly. It's like Weeds, if Weeds were realistic, dramatic, and about meth. I only saw the most recent season of this show, but it was some of the best television I've seen all year.

Mad Men: Don Draper is a super great advertising executive at a time when advertising executives are at the height of their power. He and his colleagues schmooze clients, go on business trips, sexually harrass their secretaries and slay all kinds of hoes. He's nut deep in random pussy every episode but he has a family at home. The big draw for the show is how accurately it captures the 50s and 60s. Every detail is perfect, according to my dad. If you like old school sexism and good writing, it's for you.

Friday Night Lights: Good lookin' Texans who love football. It's loosely based on the book and the movie, but it with a completely fictional team and city. There are some similar themes, but it stands alone as its own work. The characters make FNL what it is. Coach Taylor is the greatest fictional coach since Ken Howard's character in "The White Shadow." A lot of the show centers on his family life. His wife is a total milf and also works at the school, she's the coolest lady ever. His daughter, July, is a cute lil' arty chick who starts dating the quarterback, Matt Saracen. Saracen's dad is away at war so Coach Taylor sort of takes the kid under his wing. Sometimes the personal shit intermingles with the football and shit gets really fucking emotional. Just know that.

The Sopranos is a fucking masterpiece from start to finish. Fantastic writing, fantastic acting, the greatest thing to ever air on television is the history of ever. My mind can't fathom anything ever being better, ever.

Nobody has mentioned Rescue Me. It jumps the shark around Season 4 or 5, but the first 3 seasons are fucking great.

Oz is mindless, stupid fun. Watch it for what it is, and you'll love it. Try to make sense of the fact that they would keep Em City open for longer than 10 minutes in real life, and you will ruin it for yourself.

The Shield is also very good for 2 seasons, then it becomes a parody of itself.

Royal Pains - New York doctor loses spot in practice due to choosing a random kid over a wealthy benefactor when faced with whose life to save.

Promptly loses savings and gold-digging fiance during a montage...

Is whisked away to the Hamptons with his spastic, yet-lovable sibling where he saves a rich heiress at an exclusive party.

...is offered job as private practioner in the Hamptons where he solves medical problems using the powers of MacGuyver (he uses duct tape to seal wounds if handy) and House combined (Lupus is mentioned).

Friday Night Lights is a good fucking show as well. FNL has some of the best acting you'll find on TV. The football scenes get kind of ridiculous/inaccurate at times but it's a dramatization. Worth a look for the ladies and the acting alone.

Yeah it's a decent show and nothing more, however both Jill and Divya are pretty damn sexy.

Chuck is a great show. I was hooked in the first few episodes. Very hard for me to turn off and every season was awesome. 4th season starts very soon.
