ie, FlashForward. That show kinda blew, but that season 1 cliffhanger was a bitch that we'll never get to see play out.

The main guy (Fiennes) and the carpet cleaner (errr power line guy) who was allegedly a Marine bad-ass.
Please. I need more than that.
FlashForward was a colossal disappointment. My Twitch video link: http://www.twitch.tv/dave374000

Enough about the colossal failure in the character department of Flash Forward.
I thought this show was pretty good, nice to see some sub plots already developing. I'll be watching this weekly.Comment

HOLY SHIT was this awesome, this is immediately the best show on TV right now. Great story that has you interested almost immediately, subplots in place already, TREMENDOUS acting, Scorsese fingerprints all over it, this show has it all.
Finally, something to really sink my teeth into.Comment

I thought the same. Amazing premiere. I am hooked. Not only are the storylines and subplots already interesting, but the acting, cinematography, soundtrack, dialogue, and character development is outstanding.
I had to see this episode tonight, but I'm going to try and record this from now on and watch it on Tuesday so I can spread out football, dexter, and Boardwalk Empire over the week. Gives me something to look forward to most nights of the week.Comment

By far exceeds my expectations. I absolutely love this show. I wont immediately say that its better than the Sopranos, but with Martin Scorsese, Mark Whalberg, and Terence Winter and such an amazingly powerful first episode, I think this will easily top Sopranos especially if the seasons to come run the same powerful lengths.
All in All BEST OF THE BEST I HAVE SEEN IN A LOOOOOOOOOOONG TIME!
Yeah try waiting 9 years watching The Sopranos religiously and then have that ending.....than come back to me.Originally posted by BookerT316Arcbomber your a fag if me posting get to you!Indianapolis Colts11-5AFC SOUTH CHAMPIONSComment

few questions/reactions to a phenomenal pilot.
Who killed the guy with the mustache at the end in his restaurant? Was it the Chicago Boys or Thompsons?
I'm pretty sure they put the blame of the car shooting on that woman's abusive husband but not positive. Was I right or just completely miss the bar on that?
What a fucking awesome random appearance by Al Capone. That was sweet.
I like the opening of the show with Thompson starring into the sea of alcohol. Didn't like the music though. The time during prohibition looks to be such a great setting and environment.
This looks like it will be another HBO hit, but I have to wonder if they would have better ratings if it were to start in the summer because its target audience seems like they would watch Sunday Night Football as well.Comment

Anyone else think this is a role of a lifetime for Steve Buscemi? He's absolutely perfect in this. He's always been a respected and loved character actor but he fucking owns this show. This could be his Ari Gold.
Also, I know everyone else noticed all the Departed similarities. I mean obviously it's gonna be similar because it's the same production team, but it also used one of the same actors (the guy who has to follow Martin Sheen's character, just before shit goes sideways on the roof), and a nearly identical quick-cut montage of police training in the opening sequence.
This looks to be a terrific fucking show, very similar in style to a terrific fucking movie.Comment

He didn't want to go into the alcohol business but the other guy at the table, the older guy with lazy eyes, did so he took out the guy he was kind of with in order to take control.
Yes they put the blame on the drunk husband otherwise a lot of people would want Jimmy dead.
Hope that clears it up.Comment
