Why kill off Jimmy? I think he's one of the more intriguing characters... it wont be the same without himComment

Im so into it... my girl thinks its stupid but fuck her she can fuck herself on Sundays... I'm really kinda butthurt over what happened tonight tho TBH... I really don't think I'll be as intrigued anymore unless they bring in some other big time character or maybe focus more on Rosthein (sp?) and his accomplices.Comment

I'm thinking maybe that leads to some more Al Capone action.Comment

Hopefully, I honestly wouldnt mind if they went into Capone/Luciano/Doyle/Siegal/etc where they broke up all of these smaller time guys and showed how they grew to be who they became IRL, with 2-3 episode timelines where you learned about their lives and how they got to where they are now and where they will be. Like Siegal who was a small time card shark in the show but turns out to be one of the founding fathers of Las Vegas etc.Comment

The kid honestly had nothing else to live for except in incestual mother....I wanna see what she and Harrow do next season. Harrow is going to want deep deep revenge for this. First the only person who was truly lovely to him, Jimmy's wife, and then Jimmy.Originally posted by BookerT316Arcbomber your a fag if me posting get to you!Indianapolis Colts11-5AFC SOUTH CHAMPIONSComment

So many things in the episode tell you what's going to happen, but you don't realize till after the fact. (When they're talking about the will, how he tells Richard not to come, etc) HOWEVA, I didn't believe it until he sent that second shot through his skull.
The Wire spoiler -
Nucky, Eli and Manny did Jimmy like Omar, Brother Mouzone and Avon did StringerComment

Yeah Richard is going to be really interesting next year. I can almost see him becoming the father figure for Jimmy's son. Hopefully he realizes how awful Gillian is.
I guess I'm the only one who wasn't shocked about what happened. I had it feeling it was going to be coming all season long. It sucks though because Jimmy was a really good character and I considered him to be kind of the second lead. I really don't know who is going to fill that role next year. I'm worried there going to depend even more on Margaret.
Whoever said they should focus a little more on Luciano and those guys, I agree. I think they could become pretty interesting.Comment

But still, holy shit at the ending scene:
Jimmy did not give a fuck that he was about to die. I mean no apprehension at all. I don't think it was because he thought Nucky would back down, I really think he just did not care what happened to himself.Comment

Why the fuck are we using spoilers?
Anyone who comes in here before watching an episode gets what they deserve, imo.Comment

OK, this is my first and last spoiler, it contains info from the finale and has info of where Terrence Winter is taking the series in terms of direction.
Apparently Terrence Winter is telling people that they took the risk of killing Jimmy to establish Nucky as a ruthless gangster, and take the series in more of a gangster direction. There will be more focus on the NY and Chicago crews, with some of those characters going from fringe status to main players. New characters are coming but have yet to be cast. He described his vision as a series "with balls", where anything can happen and you won't know what will happen next. He knows killing Jimmy was a risk, and it was not the original direction, but as they were writing the story arc for the season, they switched gears and pulled the trigger (pun kinda intended).
There is an interview floating around online that basically says the same shit.Comment
