It was even creepier/more threatening than that. "There's still the kid."

Yep. But the act wasn't actually shown. Just the crime scene showing the kid's legs.

We, as the audience, know that everything that Walt has done has been for his family. Even when he's only trying to convince himself, we KNOW that this is the reason he's doing all of this. From making the video at the start of S1E1 to trying to convince the vacuum guy to give the money to his family...it's always been for them.

But they don't know this. They don't get why he killed all the people over his time as Heisenberg...nobody killed was an innocent by any stretch...were killed to protect the family, his money and his legacy.

Skylar has never understood this, she only saw the legality and never the truth. Junior was fine and dandy driving new cars and shit, until he found out the truth. The truth? He won't even talk to his father, so he only gets one side of the story....and hangs up when Walt tries to explain himself. The only character that has at least SOME understanding of Walt and his motives is Jesse, and he is so blinded by hate that he doesn't see anything else.
If he was doing this solely for his family, he would have gotten out a long time ago. He had so many chances to get out ahead, but he kept going deeper and further fueled by his ego and pride. Hell, the series starts out showing how broken of a man he has become and his past successes (the Nobel Prize contribution). Yes, he loves his family and is doing it partially for them, but he is power-hungry and wants to be feared and respected.

It was about 9 minutes longer. Normal episodes run about 47mins, this one was ~56.

that andrea shit was hardcore man.

I have no clue how they plan to tie up all the loose ends in 1 more show. The crimes, the trials, skylar, marie, jesse, the white supremacist, Lidea, The Ricin, the Machine gun, the DEA, Saul....just so many things unfinished...and Walt.

sucks its coming to an end. curious to see how this finale ranks among the all time best series finales (six feet under)

Any reason why Walt didn't get any ice in his whiskey?

Purely a guess as I can't remember for sure, but isn't that the way Mike ordered his drinks?

Yah. It's another in the theory of Walt stealing habits from people he killed

                              Potential spoilers

Sorry if this theory has been posted before, but here I go.

I feel that a part of the ending may have been out in the scene that people feel was either funny, ridiculous, stupid or a waste of time. I'm referring to the scene where Badger tells Skinny Pete, his Star Trek script. Here it is again

                              Spock is Walt
                              Kirk isJesse
                              Chekov is Jack
                              Scotty is Todd
                              Uhura is Lydia

kirk cant take it anymore, he yokes (jesse pukes or dies or something) checkov and spock are left (walter and jack). scott (todd) is helping cherkov win, until uhura (lydia) comes in and scott starts sweating (todd likes/loves Lydia). cherkov spits out blood (gets blown to bits) cause of scott and uhura (Todd and Lydia)

This may be a coincidence, but it seems to make too much sense. And name a better place for Vince Gilligan to put the ending right in front of your face. And the best part is Jesse gets up and leaves the room as he says "Kirk can't take it anymore". And Jesse leaves the house and the scene ends when Badger says "your leaving at the best part"..........

Walt takes his whiskey with ice at Hank's house after the prison murders though, which I'm pretty sure happens after he kills Mike.

I've never thought the whole "sin eater" thing was anything more than audience conjecture.
