How would he have known about Jesse still being alive to have him be a part of the fantasy?

And even if he deduced it from the blue meth how would he have known that they were keeping Jesse as a slave and not as a partner, which seems to be what he was so upset about to return in the first place?

And not EVERYTHING went perfectly. You'd think if it was all a dream and things only broke the way he wanted then he wouldn't have had to come clean to Skylar because she would have finally seen that he was doing everything for the family.

I'm pretty sure he would have at least talked to Walt Jr. too if he was just imagining his own utopian way for things to end.

It's a nice theory but it's a lot of conjecture based on one scene and not much else.

He found out his blue meth was still on the street. Todd was never capable of doing it leaving only 1 other person who knew the process...

It's not tooo far fetched to imagine Jessie being held as a slave. This does pose a hole in the theory though. Perhaps he deduced that the only way Jessie would ever cook again would have to be as a slave? There's a bunch of ways this could have played out.

And not EVERYTHING went perfectly. You'd think if it was all a dream and things only broke the way he wanted then he wouldn't have had to come clean to Skylar because she would have finally seen that he was doing everything for the family.

This is Walts way of finally being able to mend things with Skylar. This was the only way it could've happened fantasy or not. He had to give her what SHE wanted, not what he wanted.

I'm pretty sure he would have at least talked to Walt Jr. too if he was just imagining his own utopian way for things to end.

Walt did talk with Walt Jr on the phone inside the restaraunt. Jr made it pretty clear he didn't want anything to do with Walt so perhaps Walt gave him what he wanted just like he gave Skylar what she finally wanted all along.

It's a nice theory but it's a lot of conjecture based on one scene and not much else.

All in all, it's got holes in it but it's definitely a possible scenario.

Except in the 10,000 interviews Gilligan did after the show was done, a dream scenario was never mentioned. #overanalysis

              Definitely overanalysis.

They focus on a vague scene at the start of the episode...but don't focus on something as "in your face" as how in the fuck he'd know Jesse was being used as a slave.

The fantasy thing makes no sense. His family despises him and he lost most of the money he made. This was Walt operating without ego and using brain to do what he felt he had to. It was a moment of clarity before he died. People just can't handle that Ozymandias was the climax of the series and the last two episodes were wrapping it up.

Norm said it ended perfectly. Noone is bashing it. Just playing around with the possibilities from what I read.

The Nazis said they were gonna keep him alive to question him before killing him. Blue meth still being out there meant Jesse was still around.
Not really difficult for a mad genius to think they made a deal or held him against his will.

As for Walt and Skyler... even the Matrix movies told you guys our brains could never accept perfect happiness. Im sure guilt was slathered into his subconscious too much for some perfect ending.

BTW I dont agree with the last fantasy before death. I just think its fun to play around with.
Best reason to have a license.

This is a good point. I liked it better when I made it two posts earlier though.

The dream sequence doesn't fit in with anything else that has happened it the show..

This is just like the sin eater theory all over again.

Sir Anthony Hopkins wrote this to Bryan Cranston this past week...

                                Dear Mister Cranston.

I wanted to write you this email - so I am contacting you through Jeremy Barber - I take it we are both represented by UTA . Great agency.

I’ve just finished a marathon of watching “BREAKING BAD” - from episode one of the First Season - to the last eight episodes of the Sixth Season. (I downloaded the last season on AMAZON) A total of two weeks (addictive) viewing.

I have never watched anything like it. Brilliant!

Your performance as Walter White was the best acting I have seen - ever.

I know there is so much smoke blowing and sickening bullshit in this business, and I’ve sort of lost belief in anything really. But this work of yours is spectacular - absolutely stunning. What is extraordinary, is the sheer power of everyone in the entire production. What was it? Five or six years in the making? How the producers (yourself being one of them), the writers, directors, cinematographers…. every department - casting etc. managed to keep the discipline and control from beginning to the end is (that over used word) awesome.

From what started as a black comedy, descended into a labyrinth of blood, destruction and hell. It was like a great Jacobean, Shakespearian or Greek Tragedy.

If you ever get a chance to - would you pass on my admiration to everyone - Anna Gunn, Dean Norris, Aaron Paul, Betsy Brandt, R.J. Mitte, Bob Odenkirk, Jonathan Banks, Steven Michael Quezada - everyone - everyone gave master classes of performance … The list is endless.

Thank you. That kind of work/artistry is rare, and when, once in a while, it occurs, as in this epic work, it restores confidence.

You and all the cast are the best actors I’ve ever seen.

That may sound like a good lung full of smoke blowing. But it is not. It’s almost midnight out here in Malibu, and I felt compelled to write this email.

Congratulations and my deepest respect. You are truly a great, great actor.

                                Best regards
                                Tony Hopkins.
