    I don't know why you guys are all butt-hurt over this. If you couldn't tell the criteria boils down to a combination of who sold the most albums, got the most radio spins and has the most teenie-bopper fans.

      Drake was involved in less than 1/3 of this century so far musically. No reason for him to have a spot on here.

        I agree, but having watched it I've got an idea how that came about. First, go back to the criteria as I broke it down above: sales + spins + mainstream fans. Nationwide, he's been the hottest ticket in the game in all three of those categories since he came out and is popular right now so that always helps.

        Second, look at the panel. The music people there are into making hits, not necessarily relevant music. Perhaps more importantly, one of them produced a good deal of Drake's album and argued feverishly to get him placed even higher than the #7 spot, saying he should top 5 "at least".

                  EDIT: I see that they said it was because it was artists broke onto the scene after '99, but the list is weak for that reason.
