It wasn't the greatest documentary. I should edit my post and go more into it because Wow makes it appear to be a great documentary.

Umm, basically the main focus or point to get out of the movie is that there is no historical evidence that Jesus performed all the miracles and such. Between the time that christ lived and the time of Mark there were a good 40 years where nothing happened in the terms of religion. This wasn't exactly the best explanation seeing that I just started pounding beers for my usual Wednesday night so I apologize.

I definitely recommend watching Prison Break to anyone who hasn't.

That or Fast times @ ridgemont high and dazed and confused.

Does anyone have any other recommendations of movies similar to the ones above?

                The whole highschool/college party movies?
                Possibly an older movie?

I love those kinda movies like animal house.

If you haven't watched these, Freaks & Geeks and Undeclared were two short-lived TV shows in the same vein as those two movies. Not available on Instant though.

                            Restrepo
                            Man on Wire

These were just some I found when looking through the list.

                            A Film Unfinished

This potent documentary uses a long-lost film reel to illustrate how the Nazis controlled images of Jewish life during World War II. Though the Nazis made a propaganda movie of contented Jews in the Warsaw ghetto, the missing spool exposes the truth. Director Yael Hersonski shows how the imagery was staged to distort historical knowledge and, with the aid of Jewish survivors' testimony, chronicles the horrifying reality of ghetto life.

                            Freakonomics

Several documentary directors each film a segment representing one chapter of Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner's best-seller Freakonomics, which explains different elements of popular culture through economic theory and statistics. Issues include everything from cheating sumo wrestlers to whether Roe v. Wade produced a drop in crime. Filmmakers include Morgan Spurlock, Alex Gibney, Seth Gordon, Eugene Jarecki, Rachel Grady and Heidi Ewing.

                            The God Who Wasn't There

Borrowing the lively approach of documentaries such as Fahrenheit 9/11 and Super Size Me, ex-Christian fundamentalist Brian Flemming's exposé shines an unflinching spotlight on Christianity and the existence of Christ. Flemming interviews religious experts and Christians of varying backgrounds, ultimately asserting that Jesus Christ is more than likely a fictional character based on legend and that Christian doctrine is rife with contradiction.

                            Very Young Girls

David Schisgall's startling documentary captures the heartbreaking stories of underage girls -- many as young as 13 -- who've been forced into prostitution in New York, exposing how pimps use isolation, violence and drugs to keep girls dependent. Many of the girls interviewed take part in GEMS, a shelter and mentoring program founded by activist Rachel Lloyd -- once a prostitute herself -- that helps them transition out of "the life."

                            I.O.U.S.A

With the country's debt growing out of control, Americans by and large are unaware of the looming financial crisis. This documentary examines several of the ways America can get its economy back on the right track. In addition to looking at the federal deficit and trade deficit, the film also closely explores the challenges of funding national entitlement programs such as Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.

                            The Anderson Platoon

Filmmaker Pierre Schoendoerffer, a veteran of the French Indochina War, joined a platoon of American soldiers in 1966 for six weeks of search-and-destroy operations in Vietnam. This Oscar-winning documentary provides a rare outsider's behind-the-scenes view of the soldiers -- recording their lives, deaths, hopes and fears -- and observes how American culture influences their attitudes and behaviors in the midst of jungle warfare.
here are the documentaries I got

                            The Last Word

This chilling documentary relates the painful story of Johnny Frank Garrett, who was convicted of murder and executed by the state of Texas. Arrested as a teenager, the mentally challenged Garrett always maintained his innocence. Although law enforcement officials declared that Garrett was guilty of the rape and murder of an elderly nun in 1981, theories abound that the over-eager district attorney and incompetent pathologist bungled the case.

                            Cropsey

Directors Joshua Zeman and Barbara Brancaccio explore an urban legend that always disturbed them while growing up in Staten Island, N.Y. -- a rash of child abductions that struck the area in the 1970s and 80s -- in their gripping documentary. The legend became real when a handyman and drifter named Andre Rand abducted numerous young kids, setting off myriad motive theories, frightening residents in the community and tripping up the legal system.

Aileen: Life and Death of a Serial Killer

British documentarian Nick Broomfield trains his lens on infamous serial killer Aileen Wuornos, who began her murder spree in 1992. A highway prostitute at the age of 13, Wuornos was convicted of killing six semi-truck drivers who she insisted tried to rape her. After being convicted of murder, Wuornos was eventually executed in Florida in 2002. She was the 10th woman ever to be executed in the United States.

                            The Wonder of It All

Join Buzz Aldrin, Edgar Mitchell, Charles Duke, Eugene Cernan and other astronauts who have walked on the moon as they reflect upon their outer space training routines, historical missions, groundbreaking achievements, personal dreams and more. Featuring many rare photos from the astronauts' personal collections, this documentary also explores the huge impact space travel had on the heroes' families.

                            When You're Strange

Composed entirely of original footage from 1966-71, Tom DiCillo's documentary about the Doors filters truth from myth, reveals new insight into Jim Morrison and his bandmates, and captures the essence of the iconic rock group and the era. DiCillo's film pays tribute to the Doors and their music and to a generation's struggle for individuality and authenticity during an unstable and transformative epoch in America.

I got some other documentaries like WWII in HD and some nature ones.
