Yeah, the past few episodes have been really strong and emotional. A couple jokes spread between em, but it's been a very nice change.

When Fiona made bail, I had my fingers, toes, arms, and eyes crossed that it was Jimmy/Steve...and then Evan Chambers from Greek is standing there. Oh well.

This season has been fantastic. It's still got the "Shameless" humor that is associated with pretty much every episode, but the very serious turn its taken this season has been great.
And I like the way that Mickey's character has evolved this season, last night's episode especially.

The previews to this episode worried me they might pull a Shameless and have Frank get a miracle to live and I was worried. Then they stole his kidney and I was so happy because his path this season should've led only to his death then it just had to do it. Dont get me wrong I like Frank even more than others, but his arc this season was shaky with his forgotten daughter and trying to get her liver, but it developed into one of the shows best arcs and while he could recover and the show go on and still be great, I feel like his death would solidify this as the season Shameless jumped quality level.

I never really liked Frank, but his arc this season has been OK with me, I just know they've essentially exhausted what they can do with him, so it's time to move on.
