Why are 10 movies nominated? Didn't they do that last year too? Definitely overkill.

I bet Franco wins best Actor but I think Bridges should win. He was great in True Grit.

I think the only movies that have a chance of winning Best Picture are the same ones who are also up for Best Director. I'm not saying that because of the actual movies, I'd think that without knowing any of them.

The Social Network will win the best picture. THe only film that stands in its way is The King's Speech. With the amount of recognition Speech is getting makes it seem likely Firth will win best actor.

I wouldn't have a big problem with TSN winning Best Picture or Firth winning Best Actor. Firth was amazing as was the entire cast. Had it not been for Bale knocking his role out of the ballpark I would have been tempted to give Geoffrey Rush the nod for Best Supporting Actor.

Another beef I have is that Leonardo DiCaprio just can't seem to get a nomination these days. There was a lot of tough competition this year, but I think DiCaprio should have gotten a nod for Shutter Island as opposed to Eisenberg for The Social Network. I think Eisenberg had benefits that DiCaprio did not that basically made him a shoe-in for a nomination. I'm a big Jesse Eisenberg fan and I think his work in Social Network is second to only his role in The Squid and the Whale for his best, but I'll take DiCaprio in Shutter Island or Gosling in Blue Valentine any day over him.

Toy Story 3 is the best of all those movies but its not gonna win cause no one is gonna take it serious. It deserves it so much.
