This is also the least well known Green Lantern. I am a HUGE Green Lantern fan and would have guessed the entire Corps before realizing they meant the Green Lantern from Earth-2. Giant cop out in my opinion.

On the whole, I'm a Marvel guy when it comes to Superheroes. I love Batman, but Superman, Flash, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, etc these are characters that fall flat for me. I love Geoff Johns on Green Lantern, but the movie was so terrible that I don't expect them to be able to save it. Marvel did such a good job with the individual movies fleshing out each character that the Avengers became an even better movie for it. There ARE good JLA stories (Kingdom Come, Tower of Babel), but these exist on such a more fantastical scale than the Marvel universe that it becomes tough to transition to the screen.

I think going with Luthor is a cop out, as is the Joker. Doomsday has absolutely no emotion and would be a worse version of Bane from Batman and Robin. Braniac, as written in the Geoff Johns run, is interesting but is traditionally a Superman villain. This leaves us Darkseid. Who I find interesting. But I don't trust the studio to give me any of the good bits about Apokolips while also giving me 5+ characters of background. Plus, I think most people who saw Avengers will just think it's THANOS

I will just point this out... the Avengers was a wildly successful movie and it used Loki as a villain... LOKI, arguably one of the lesser known major villains in the entire Marvel universe. The only reason they were able to do that was because they made movies that set up the premise. If they had taken that same villain for Avengers, but didn't make Thor beforehand, it would have been an awful mess. If DC thinks they don't need the setup that Avengers did, they are stupid.

I disagree with that kind of. I think having Loki made Avengers easier to follow and understand what was going on but if I hadn't watched Thor, I still would have enjoyed the movie. I do think they need to have some build up to the movie though and not just throw it together. Show a background of the heros first (with movies) before releasing a big JL movie.

There will be another Batman movie within four years. This is guaranteed, it's the only cash cow WB has left. I'd prefer it stayed solo Batman films, and if they had to mix anyone in it would be a Batman vs. Superman movie. Who doesn't love seeing Bats kick the boyscout around?

Justice League is dumb though, you guys haven't even mentioned Aquaman. Aquaman, such a terrible character. Obviously, I think you need Batman to be central to the movie. I'd like to see Tower of Babel adapted. Get Liam Neeson to come back so the audience has some familiarity with the villain.

Justice League was pretty good every now and then in the comics, I like the years with the green lantern that had a bowl hair cut

aquaman with a hook for a hand was pretty badass, but the fruity ass riding a sea horse one does not need to make it to the big screen though

Maybe they should make a Wonder Twins movie and they can do that sweet trick where one turns into a monkey and the other a bucket of water, what a power!
