Thank you Sci-Fi channel for your infinitely bad film selection during the College Football season... mostly because the Gators don't play until after 3-4 PM EST.

In the pantheon of bad movies, you could say that this one would do well with a few beers and some popcorn in your system... you have the main guy from Mallrats, that one guy from the Sliders TV show, Yancy Butler and a slew of B-Actors battling a giant lizard monster.

Said Monster eats, maims and otherwise destroys all it surveys as the others struggle to stop it before it fucks up the whole world.

    I'd give it ***1/2 out of 5.

Had the story not been told 20 times already and had this been the 1st film done in this type of 3d animation, then it woulda been epic, but since it wasnt I give it a 7 maybe an 8 if i think about it more.

I watched Lakeview Terrace last night. Not bad. My favorite part was the scene where he corners the dude with the shotgun in the alley.

I also watched Punisher: Warzone the other night. Now I know that movie received horrendous reviews but I could give two shits about reviews when it comes to movies. I thought it was very entertaining. I love action flicks where people just get fucked up constantly and there is buckets of blood.

On Monday my buddy and I are planning on seeing Boondock Saints: All Saints Day. It's actually playing at a theater not far from me. We're going to watch the first one on bluray and then head to the sequel. I'm pretty psyched.

Every CGI Christmas movie that's come out since "The Polar Express" hasn't sat well with me... of course I grew up on "Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown!" and "A Christmas Story" so...

I would like to see this one since Jim Carrey was so good in that live action "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" adaptation.

I seen "The Blind Side" last night. I hadn't read Michael Oher's book, but I knew somewhat of the story, but this movie was really good. I suggest anyone who hasn't seen it yet to go out and see it, I can almost guarantee you'll enjoy it.
Then tonight I sat down and watched "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" for the first time. I love Mila Kunis and Jason Segel. It actually had a good plot, I thought it was pretty funny and also had some good serious parts, I would also recommend it.

Not the best movie ever, the girls make it watchable. Rachael Leigh Cook (Josie) is so beautiful in this movie its hypnotizing, i couldnt take my eyes off her. The musics not to shabby either.

                            In reference to Precious.....

holy shit, I just finished watching this shit (online of course) and this was a real powerful movie. Didnt hear about it till last week when my sister mentioned it so i found it online not knowing what to expect (I like Tyler Perry movies) and man oh man there were parts that literally had me on the verge of tears.....and i dont really cry or tear up on movies.

Dont want to spoil it too much for those that havent seen it but there was a classroom scene between Precious and her teacher that was so powerful, it got to me. This has to be one of my favorite movies of the year.

Monique did a stellar job of acting like an evil witch. Weird to see her in that kind of role. Also loved Mariah Carey (she looks good even with the lack of makeup she had in this flick) and the actress who played the teacher....cant think of the name.

Just saw Forbidden Kingdom starring Jackie Chan and Jet Li. It was a decent movie if you can get past the whiny protagonist they drop in your lap with little to no warning based on the trailers. I went in expecting Jackie Chan and Jet Li kick ass, not some ungrateful annoying Kung Fu neek that contributes nothing to the story in any meaningful way whatsoever, yet by sheer plot convenience saves the day and gets the girl with a little Li/Chan thrown in. In that respect, it's very much like Michael Bay's Transformers. You go in looking for Autobot/Deception war, but you find out Sam Witwicky is the focus of the movie and find out that the Autobots aren't really on-screen expect for only the last 20 or so minutes - and they don't even get to kill Megatron.

And the dude with no ability in martial arts masters Kung Fu in a fucking week! Excuse me while I call bullshit.

Just watched Superbad. What a random turn of events, but I really like it. It wasn't some legendary movie that people were hyping it up, but still a good watch. I can't explain it, but it just works. It's so fucking silly and borders obsurd, but still resonates me because it really shows how awkward HS was and I relate with the leads.
