Great Gatsby I enjoyed it, thought Tobey Maguire was a great Carraway. And Leo was sweet, sweet perfection as always.

Out of the furnace was solid. Script was blah but bale, Affleck, and harrelson were soooo good.

Needed more Zoe doe with her interracial dating ass.

Stoker. Chan-Wook Park's first venture into American cinema in a Thriller starring Mia Wasikowska, Nicole Kidman, and Matthew Goode.

            7.5/10

A particular transition scene involving hair brushing into an open field was . Still, the plot was a bit slow developing and the payoff was too dulled for Park's traditional twists.

Almost my exact sentiments on Stoker.

watched Gravity - it was good i guess. i liked that it didnt fuck around and got right to the point. almost like a documentary style. it was totally predictable along the way but i guess it was just trying to immerse the viewer into the action and feeling of the character. i am sure it did that very well for alot of people....but not for me. the entire time i felt like...lets get this over with cause i already know whats going to happen

I wanted to like it, there's a pretty good movie in there, but the allegory is just a bit too heavy-handed and the villains are drawn too cartoonishly (all of them). Definitely worth a watch, the components are there for something cool and memorable, but it does a bit too much of the social commentary and not enough of the fun sci-fi.

Foster's character is a candidate for worst of all time.

So is the dude who just shouts nonsensical threats in an indecipherable South African accent the whole time. At one point my gf said "what did he just say?" and I said, "I don't know, does it really matter?"

William Fichtner's character was a 2D caricature as well. "Evil Corporate Prick" is I guess how they described it in the casting call.

Definitely a fun movie to watch, had great characters, great dialogue..but the plot just didn't really matter much and the ending was underwhelming. It reminded me of Casino in many ways, and I thought that before the scene with the De Niro cameo.

this is the end - pretty lame and very few funny moments.
