Spirit of the Marathon
I thought this was great, as someone who runs a lot I love seeing running documentaries. Its about 6 people who try and run the Chicago marathon, some of them are newer runners and some have won or come close to winning it before, if you run or have any interest in it at all I'd suggest you watch it.

I called this miss the minute I saw the trailer. Just looks like needless tearjerking for the sake of tearjerking.

I love your second paragraph too, because I too have employed that tactic. Let the girl pick a movie you know is going to suck, just to prove to her that she shouldn't be picking the movies. Works beautifully.

I hate that when I hang out with 5 friends we cant decide what to watch when we use streaming netflix, everyone has a problem with everything. We ended up watching Pee-Wees Big Adventure, what a kick ass movie.

Mesrine: Killer Instinct - This is the first of a two part series of films on the French criminal Jacques Mesrine. This is a well done crime thriller/drama as we are shown the beginnings of Mesrine's criminal activities in France through his jail break from a maximum security prison in Canada. Vincent Cassel does a good job as the lead, and there are some nice, intense scenes through the film. Overall good film.

While this series is over two years old, it has yet to be released for home entertainment in the US, and there are no immediate plans for one to my knowledge. You'll have to use some alternative methods to get a copy, if you're interested.

Foreign films seem to be the best nowadays. Hollywood and even Indy just to Hollywood and also they just steal or remake a good foreign.
