Started better than I expected, but got boring once Gene Hackman appeared and it turned into some weird family drama.

Fucking amazing. Unbelievable movie. 10/10, everyone watch it now.
      Totally disagree. 5/10

There were some great actors in that movie and it fell on it's ass. The plot line was ridiculous and it was a tired formula with scenes that didn't make sense. Also, the character development was totally weak. I didn't care for any of the characters.

For instance the flashbacks to him laying in bed with his sick wife. I'm wondering if scenes about that were left on the cutting room floor.

The Cabin in the Woods: 7/10, great horror comedy with a giant commentary on the state of the horror genre
Super: 6/10, somewhat entertaining, extremely bizarre. You can tell that the director is from the Troma world of film
My Week with Marilyn: 8/10, not knowing much about the life of Marilyn Monroe or her career, this movie was revealing and incredibly sad for a person who was the biggest movie star on the planet at one time.
The Eagle: 8/10, this movie got poor reviews when it came out, but I liked the plot and I thought it was interesting how the Romans had American accents while the Brits had British accents.
The Artist: 7/10, different, yes, but different to the point it bordered on annoying.
Blue Valentine: 7/10, yes, I went on a Michelle Williams kick. This movie was more real than any reality tv is.

All of the dance sequences in Singin' in the Rain are awesome.

Mission Impossible 4 was a little too formulaic.

the stuff at the end with mick foley and the i quit match against the rock....him and his wife have the 2 kids sitting ringside. the mom screaming and getting upset making the little girl get even more upset and cry....seriously wtf. why would you have your little daughter sit ringside while your getting your head bashed in. They think its real. Plus the mom knows its not real and still screams in fear for mick while he is getting blasted with a chair and just freaks out the kid even more

            LAME!
There was nothing "not real" about that scene. Those chair shots were very real, that blood was very real, that pain was very real. That's why his wife got so upset. That's why she's screaming in fear. That's all very 'real'. She was both horrified about what her husband was allowing to be done to himself, and disgusted that he put his family in a position to see it. Foley knew he was panning this series of vicious head shots, and has admitted that one of the biggest mistakes of his life was allowing his wife & children to sit ringside and watch him be maimed.

I guess when they showed his head split open in the locker room, that wasn't real either. Neither were the stitches. Or the concussion.

Anyway, these types of chairshots to the head are now frowned upon in wrestling because of the very real damage they cause. I had no problem with the reactions from the wife, and if anything, I have an issue with how far Foley and The Rock went with the brutality.

Funny how this works, but I just found this pic of that little girl from Beyond The Mat. She just went to her prom.

Beyond the Mat is a great watch even if it is disturbing.

And Foley's oldest son is a tall guy now, too.

On film forever bawling over daddy getting his head bashed in with a chair.

Saw this with the wife yesterday. I would've rather seen MIB 3, but oh well. It was actually pretty good. The special effects were quite nice and Kristen Stewart isn't too bad to look at. Of course Charlize is always delicious. 7.5/10

thats a really idiotic post warner. yes we all know the actual action was real. we all know the hits were real, we all know the blood was real, we all know the gash was real. But what wasnt real was the kids perception of their father getting his head bashing in by someone else....that someone was trying to hurt their dad

she knew what was going to happen, he knew what was going to happen but they still chose to allow their kids to view it and the mom made matters worse by screaming in fear rather than consoling her kids by telling them its just pretend. The only time he mentioned he felt like a bad father was after the match when they showed him his kids reaction weeks later.

leave it to you as a wrestling fag to jump to the its not fake card and totally miss the point of what i posted

Saw it as well and I loved it.

I'm not much of a movie critic though. I'm not gonna be able tell anyone why I really like the movies I do but later I plan on watching Cabin In The Woods and then once a decent link comes up on movies2k I'll watch Chernobyl Diaries eventually as well.
