That was a really good episode. I love when they just tell a story and don't have to always make fun of whatever the most current big event is.Comment

I love how basically the entire underlying premise of the show was that Parker and Stone are just cynical assholes. They've always said Stan's character represents them the most so that was funny to see and the entire episode was almost them roasting themselves to a certain extent.
The whole "resetting" angle was kind of old and a rehash from the Mysterion thing but Randy as Steamy Ray Vaughn and those two rednecks worrying about his britches and "saving" them was awesome.
Will be interesting to see what happens next week.
I also have to say I laughed out loud at the "Rated Argh for Pirates....Fuck you" in the movie preview.Comment

I loved that episode, spot on. Funnily enough I had just gotten back from X-Men First Class so I laughed pretty hard when that's what they were seeing at the theater.
I kind of drifted to sleep by the last few minutes though. What happens?Comment

The only reason I watched the last episode is because I read a review about it. Matt and Trey have probably been reading a bunch of comments about how shitty the show has gotten, so they made the "shittiest" episode yet. I don't even really watch the show anymore because it just isn't good to me. It felt like they were talking to me with that episode. It may be because I am getting older or because the show really has declined. After the mid-season break the final episodes should be the last.

Whether Stone and Parker want to do another season or more, I wonder.

The Adam Sandler part was hysterical to me.

Like mentioned its whether or not they want to. They could be tired of it they could also be tired of annoying audiences. I think last nights episode alluded to both.Best reason to have a license.

I really liked the last episode, the whole cynical angle was hilarious and Cartman had some great moments too. It will be interesting to see how the divorce carries over into the next season. I have a feeling the work that Trey and Matt did on their musical wore them down and made this half season a bit of a chore (the musical actually delayed the start of the season). I can see why they feel like its the same shit every week cause the last few seasons there has been a formula with the episodes (a butters episode, a cartman episode, a randy episode, jimmy episode etc.)
As for south park getting old the past few seasons, I'd disagree. I think its become a bit more hit or miss episode to episode but it can certaintly still deliver like the crack baby episode.Comment
