        Stillmatic in front of Illmatic?

I believe this is rated on how much he enjoys a certain album, not necessarily what's better than what.

Very nice list Len. Only thing that shocks me is Vol. 1 over Reasonable Doubt or The Black Album.

Sadly, my life of listening to rap is slowly coming to an end. Growing up on legends such as Ja Rule, then moving onto conscious rap, I've listened to rap/hip hop from the age of 11 to 24.

Now, I realize I don't listen to it anymore and have no desire to listen to it, with indie rock taking up most of my music time. That said, I need an excuse to go back through my rap library and listen to some stuff, and this is a good way for me to do it. Making my greatest albums list for heels' thing, I noticed not many will be rap. Sad days.

Going to post my favorite 25 rap albums of all-time (basically just for Woy's pleasure) in here. They won't be critically acclaimed, some will be head scratchers, but they always have a spot in my library.
Good for you moving on from crappy music with some good beats mixed in
            RIP

Illmatic, Ready to Die, Paid In Full, Straight Outta Compton, Criminal Minded... ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ boring

This wasn't a list of what I think are the best rap albums of all time, but rather what my favorites were.

I didn't grow up on Illmatic, didn't even hear it until I was 16 or 17, actually. It Was Written was the first Nas CD I had when I was 13.

Illmatic is the best rap album ever, but I can't listen to it like I can Stillmatic.

Len knows the deal with Stillmatic over Illmatic.. we might be the only 2 that agree on that but Stillmatic just has more playability for me.
