so i downloaded a cam version of horrible bosses last night and come home and start watching it today when i am quickly interrupted by the following message

Playback stopped. The content being played is protected by Cinavia and is not authorized for playback on this device

this was while streaming the video to my PS3...thought it was a virus at first but then goggled.

If I were to torrent something like this (), I would probably always check the comments before I download anything to reduce the chances that it won't work and is a virus to save time.

no....it wasnt a virus either. i did read the comments and they were positive. not everyone uses the ps3 to watch movies. i can still watch it on my PC with VLC

this has been around for over a year

it goes by the sound in the video so even cam versions can get caught (in case you dont understand it pertains to any version of the movie be it cam, dvdrip, ppv rip) it sucks, but 360 has no cinavia

sony is suppposed to have added this with all sony blueray players

yeah i never heard of this until today. surprising that more companies dont use this
