Just found a HUGE spoiler about next weeks episode
First, episode info, spoiler at the end
"Episode 7
“Pretty Much Dead Already”
Episode opens with Glenn revealing the presence of the walkers to the rest of the group, who promptly proceed to freak out. Maggie becomes angry with Glenn for not keeping the secret and ruins his hat in retribution. Dale gives Glenn his trademark bucket hat as a replacement. Maggie later makes a plea to Hershel for the group to stay. She and Glenn also have an argument about the walkers, after which they eventually admit their feelings, kiss and make up.
Rick and Hershel argue, with Hershel demanding the group leave within a week. Rick uses the my-wife-is-pregnant card, but Hershel’s not persuaded. Shane also wants the group to get the hell out of there because of the walkers in the barn, but Rick uses the same excuse to cool him down. However, Shane then becomes convinced that Lori’s baby is his.
Dale takes off with Shane’s guns to hide them in the swamp. Shane tracks him down and demands he give the guns back. Dale points his rifle at him and threatens to shoot. However, he backs down at the last moment, since he has no wish to become like Shane: he reveals that he knows Shane shot Otis and lied about what really happened. Shane heads back to the farm with the guns.
Hershel has Rick help him and Jimmy try to fish some walkers out of a nearby pit of quicksand and lead them into the barn with snare poles. He says the group can stay on the farm if they agree not to kill the walkers. They arrive at the farm about the same time Shane emerges from the swamp and hands out guns to other members of the group…
Shane sees the snared walkers and goes berserk. He yells at Rick and Hershel as they guide the walkers towards the barn, with the rest of the group and people in the farm looking on. He pulls his sidearm and unloads it in the chest of one of the walkers, demanding to know “Could someone who’s alive just take that? Why is it still coming?” Hershel has no answer.
He finishes off the walker with a headshot, grabs a nearby pickaxe and breaks open the barn door. Walkers pour out, T-Dog, Daryl, Shane, Glenn, and Andrea form a line and open fire. Once the dust clears, one more walker emerges. Sophia. Rick finally steps up next to the others, pulls his six-shooter and kills Sophia with a shot to the head. End episode."

If I wanted to be analytical I would point out how the boy in a coma a few days ago is now right as rain after a vet saved his life, Rick being functional after giving up three quarters of his blood, glen nicely packaging everything he brought from the pharmacy, the morning after pill actually being labeled "morning after pill", wasting ammunition, firing guns when in season one gunfire would bring zombies from miles around, etc.........
Is this not what I did after the first episode of the season? I criticized the stupid characters and you thought that was dumb, yet you see nothing wrong with criticizing the writers? Doesn't that go in hand.
For instance the zombie attack on the highway. I thought it was lazy writing that the only way the zombies could attack them was for the lookout to not see them until they're 20 yards away.
I thought it was dumb how much time they spent at the church when they still hadn't found the girl and time was limited.
Yet you and everyone else thought I was crazy and should just over look these things because it's a zombie show and not serious.
Then you come in complaining about how a girl gets attacked in the pharmacy, and how much time they spent on birth control pills. etc.
How is this any different from what I said weeks ago when you defended the show?Comment

Originally posted by glenwillettMy guilty pleasure is the zombies.. The show is called "the walking dead" not "one dimensional characters who have no redeemable qualities sit around on a horse ranch and continue a pointless search for a bit character who I honestly cannot remember one scene of at this point".
My favorite part of this show was that the action was unpredictable and could come at any time and that no character is safe... Did anyone honestly not see the attack at the pharmacy coming? The camera work and music gave you a good 10 second head start to brace yourself while providing no build up.
The most memorable death in the last three weeks is the well zombie...Originally posted by glenwillettI'm not upset.. I groaned you for being unimaginative and pithy. And again, I'm not picking the show apart.

Originally posted by glenwillettBecause you were bitching about plot holes I am more than willing to live with as long as people are being attacked and killed at random.
My complaint is that no one is being attacked and killed at random anymore. Now we get target practice in the woods and OMG Glenn can't keep secrets!
If the show wants to base 39 and a half minutes of their 40 minutes on screen every week with no zombies then yeah, I'm going to analyze their shitty plot and characters because it's all they've given me.
I didn't care about the characters before because I thought they could get killed off at second.. This season a less than memorable preteen has run away from the group and a guy with a one episode arc got killed. Be still my heart...
Shit's gonna explode sooner than later.

Well I'm glad this weeks episode looks like the best so far this season.
For whatever reason, Season 2 has really been dragging. I still like the show and watch it, but it really doesn't have the pacing like the 1st season. I know they are trying to setup some things for the future, but this season really seems to be crawling along. Even though Season 1 was slow at times, it didn't have this type of feel.
So this is the last episode for awhile right?
When does it come back, Feb?Comment

thanks!
saw that one coming, but im more than happy to read spoilers at this point so that when its actually on i dont have to pay attention anymore.
im willing to give the show a mulligan due to the showrunner drama. ill just pretend like this was all a bad prequel setting up the real season in feb.
off topic, but Mad Men isnt THAT good. if this show sucks now because they gave Mad Men 3 more seasons, i will definitely not be counted among their viewers. and if Breaking Bad gets hamstrung because Don Draper got the money... I just... you know what, I'm not gonna even think about that right now. Some things are best left to the realm of possibility and out of the realm of consideration.Comment
