When it comes to other stuff(usually movies) I understand that story, characters, plot, and dialogue isn't as important to a lot of people as explosions and dumbed down action, but The Walking Dead rarely even has that. Not sure how the show is so popular.

I'm all ears of anyone wants to defend that schlock last night though.

Was a top 10 episode for this show in terms of how pointless and boring it was, which is really saying something based on the crap that's been rolling out since the end of season one.

I was watching it with two friends who have been hooked since episode 1. They just went quiet when I started talking shit about the show. They're defense was that the action is cool, they've been killing zombies for 3 years, it's old and boring.

Some people just have a hard time letting go of something they've invested so much time in. I watched season 1 and got the picture. Anything zombie/vampire related just bores me at this point. It's ran it's course.

Beyond that?

 

The Scooby's fall upon a settlement and become the de-facto leaders.

The settlement gets Alamo'd by a fleet of Walkers.

Some people aren't making it out alive.

Which has happened twice already...not a whole lot of different roads for this show to travel.

This show is so fucking awesome, we just witnessed the actor that plays Karl become a legit leading man!!!

Can't wait to find out what happens to Maggie and Glen, the two most interesting TV characters since Jack and Kate.

If there is a defense it's the fact when the show is good..it's REALLY good. All this season's episode have been utter crud except the half season finale which was really good. Last season was horrendous outside of maybe 3 eps. One of which was superb.
It does JUST enough to give people hope but after Karl eating pudding with his dad in a coma I'm just done with it as an "Omg it's on" show.
I wouldn't be surprised if the phrase "jump the shark" gets replaced with "ate the pudding" from now on.
