I'm also a mark for the Ape series, so I'll be watching it when it drops.

The trailer seems CG cheesy to me ... and I own the Planet of the Apes Blu-Ray set.
I know I'll watch this movie, and I liked the Mark Wahlberg Apes movie, but that trailer makes me leery.
I thought the Tim Burton movie was pretty meh.... What did you like about that movie?
I know this is probably a stupid question to someone who liked the movie, but I didn't get the end. How the hell did the apes start driving cars, building monuments/cities that look almost exactly like Mark Wahlbergs earth.
I mean WTF?
And I actually thought the CGI looked pretty damn good in that 3rd trailer. It's amazing how well CGI shows emotion now a days. It does feel a little weird to have a Planet of the Apes movie take place in such a modern world though, it almost seems like a different movie.

When Mark Whalberg went back home, he traveled to his world years into the future then when he left it and the apes had taken over. The planet he was on the whole movie was earth, just YEARS into the future.
