Curb or Seinfeld?

So, after slogging through most of Bill Simmon's mailbag, I just got curious what VSN's opinion was about the battle between Curb and Seinfeld. Personally, I think that it has to be Seinfeld, despite my current love for Curb.

Which do you think is the greatest? (and please don't chime in with AD votes because while that is one of the greatest shows ever, it is thrown out because it wasn't successful...sorry).

1. Larry being in front of the camera
2. HBO
3. No laugh track
4. The theme

I used to think Seinfeld was the greatest but now I think its a toss up
between that and Everybody Loves Raymond and maybe even King Of Queens.

Although, Arrested Development is pretty freaking good. I didn't discover that show until about 3 months ago. Love it!

But between your choices (for Larry David)... I'd say Seinfeld

Gotta give it to Seinfeld. Curb is great, but Seinfeld is ICONIC. Jerry said it best:

i have only watched a clip here and there of curb, not enough to say. if i had to make a choice, seinfeld.

Curb easy. I was never a Seinfield fan although I caught an episode once in a blue moon. Curb is fucking hilarious. i love when he and Leon interacts, as well as Suzy. Hilarity is sure to ensue.

I dont really care for KOQ but I just recently started watchign replays of Raymond on TBS. Its pretty decent, that and Yes Dear. Never cared to watch either when they were in production.

I thought the same but its decent, not saying its great but not as bad as one may think.

I actually thought the same about Curb. I remember it used to come on right after The Sopranos and I used to hate the fucking opening theme.

Yes dear is good too, I thought it was stupid when it was new. I usually find the shows after they're in syndication.

CURB based on these 4 things -

1. Larry in front of the camera is great, but I don't think that makes it better than Seinfeld
2. Touche, Seinfeld on HBO would have been amazing.
3. Laugh track is meaningless to Seinfeld because it's still just as funny. The laugh track is just a product of the time.
4. Fuck the theme (although Curb's is better) no one cares about that shit.

I still lean with Seinfeld, not only because it is better on a broader spectrum, but also because if it weren't for Seinfeld there would be no Curb. Larry would still be a terrible standup comedian.
