NO WAY fuck shit hell does she look over weight. I thought she lookded sooooo on point.

Anyway, this fucking movie was amazing. I can easily say its the best Ive seen this year. Gonna watch it again. It was insanely tense throughout, and the timing of the dialogue was incredible.

I didn't know she was in the movie until the day I saw it.

Even then, she's looked better (dunno if that's a compliment to the make-up and costume crew for making her go from a 9 to a 7) in other stuff.

I didn't expect the director to make her "the other woman" and I'm glad they stuck with it.

On another note, Albert Brooks is a sneaky rotten fuck in this movie and it's great.

I really don't get why you guys are praising this movie so much. the entire first half of the movie was essentially staring at Gosling with the same expression, then staring at the chick with the same expression, and then excessive violence at the end. I'm not trying to flamebait here, I honestly am curious as to what was so impressive (and I'm not a hard guy to please, I usually end up liking stuff more than reviews do).

I was so massively disappointed. it moved slooooooooooooooow. the second half was cool, but definitely not movie of the year status. I've seen way worse flicks, but Drive is a rental at best.

The "slow parts" where it was just Gosling and Mulligan staring at each other cruising along and hanging out was sweet for me. They literally didn't have to say anything to each other and with the use of a "montage" type strategy with a great score was hell enough to help me understand the chemistry and relationship these two had.

            Edit BTW, I wish I had $160

Mainly to do with the soundtrack, sorry to thread necromance, but this movie was easily better than anything else from 2011, and the soundtrack completely blew me away. If anything this production has reaffirmed my belief that Nicolas Winding Refn is the best "new" director out there.

Incredible film, I've been playing the same 3 songs from the soundtrack on youtube every day for the past two weeks. I want to watch it again.

Does this still stand? When I first saw it Drive was #2 on my list, now it's like 7 or 8.

Drive is still #1, the only thing to come close to knocking ti down a spot was Shame, which was incredibly tough to put at #2. My thread as an entire 2011 ranking that's up to date.

It was good but I didn't find it all that great.

One of the most overrated films of the year, for sure. Good, not great.

I disagree, considering the fact that Refn took over mid-production and still turned out the best cinematography I've seen in a while.

From a technical aspect, this movie was as crisp as they come, did you see the prop lighting in nearly every scene?
