The biggest problem with DC is that honestly, outside of Batman, their characters are just boring. Superman is just too damn powerful to be interesting, so he always has to face either kryptonite or another Superman. Wonder Woman is a female Superman who somehow finds a way to be more bland. Aquaman is laughable. Green Lantern had a shot at a movie and it bombed because of how awful they did the villains and the suit. Flash, Green Arrow, and Martian Man Hunter could be cool, but they are supporting characters at best.
There are some interesting characters in the DC Universe outside of Batman, Spectre could be cool, but he is again, basically a god. Not even like Thor level god, he is straight up omnipotent. Jonah Hex would have been awesome if done right, but they ruined that with an awful, awful movie.
Think about this, Marvel has characters like Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, the X-Men (including Wolverine), and Spiderman all getting multiple movies about their characters. DC has Batman and Superman with a plethora of box office bombs. Did Marvel pull out all of the stops for their Avengers movie? No, they used Loki. LOKI! Even after Thor, I don't think people really thought of him as an A-List villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. All that movie did was gross like a billion dollars. DC on the other hand has to blow their wad of Batman vs Superman on a Superman sequel. Meh.Comment

But (in the comics) Loki was responsible for the Avengers getting together.Comment

I... don't know what to think. It isn't bad. It isn't good. Its just... Ben Affleck. Did they not see Daredevil?Comment

Regardless of who they got to play Batman this project is going to suck ass. DC needs to find someone who actually cares about these characters and let them manage this shit. I mean you can tell whoever is running the train has no idea on what they are doing when they cast Ryan Reynolds to play Green Lantern.Comment
