Enemies almost inherently have to be on different planets. However, the core relationships for Hal are Guy, John Stewart and Kyle Raynor, all Earthlings. He received the ring on Earth, and when he dies it will be on Earth.

There is a reason that Earth is at the centre of the multi-verse. Thus, any GL movie will have to take place on Earth. To expect first time Green Lantern movie goers to know WTF Korugar is and why Sinestro had to dominate it is ridiculous.

Looking at the IMDB so far, the two villains are Hector Hammond (an earth based villain with an enlarged brain) and Sinestro. Even Sinestro could be good, since prior to Hal, he was the Corp's prized asset.

If you can't tell, I love the GL. And have huge hopes for it. It does not have to be a retelling of Blackest Night for me to love it
to set up who hal jordan is as a character should be established on earth for the 1st part of the movie, but after he becomes GL he should be trained on OA with the rest of the GL rookies...from there they can go with Hal and Sinestro in Korugar, on earth with Hammond, on earth with Atrocitus and the Black Hand...
GL's scope is so Much bigger than superman's on a regular basis..

as for Guy, John Stewart, and Rayner...leave them for the sequels...and Hopefully the Sinestro Corps War

That is probably asking for far too much though. I'm not sure what they have planned, but I imagine the first one will be Abin Sur giving Hal the ring, and maybe Sinestro training him a bit. Hammond will be an easy first villain to defeat.

Second movie, someone like Mongul attacks Earth. Hal can team up with a minor hero like Green Arrow to defeat him, maybe Stewart and Guy are introduced, with some hints of a much larger subplot (Sinestro Corp War).

Third movie, the war. Full blown space this time after the audience knows the players and what is at stake. They will have to ignore all the other Lantern Corps (violet, red, orange, etc) as that is just a ton to know

not the best source, but i found this from wikipedia

The story follows the original Hal Jordan/Green Lantern storyline, including the battle between Legion and Abin Sur, Abin Sur's crash landing on Earth, as well as the choosing of Hal Jordan over Guy Gardner and Clark Kent.

so if they have Clark, will it be the same Clark in the Superman movie

Superman is really a three part puzzle, you have Superman, Clark Kent and Kal-El. Superman is the hero, the one that has to make the "right" decision all the time because all eyes are on him. Superman is more then a man, he's god like, the savior of humanity. Clark is who he was raised to be by the Kent's, he's human and flawed. Kal El is the alien that feels secluded and alone, who seeks guidance in his fortress of solitude.

One thing is contestant in Superman/Clark/Kal El he loves humanity and everything it stands for. The funny thing is even though Kal El knows he's better then humans and can rule the world he never does anything about... Because deep down he identifies the most with Clark. Clark is who Superman is!

I don't think Superman uses Clark as a mask it's the other way around. If Superman felt that negative about humans I highly doubt he would risk his neck for them and do the right thing all time. Think about if Superman was that egotistical he wouldn't do the Right thing every time. It completely doesn't fit with the character of Superman/Clark/Kal El
Of course he would, because they are a weak species...his goodness allows for him to feel compassion and even love for humans.

Im suggesting they follow Geoff John's origin

establish Hal Jordan, intro the supporting cast, John Stewart cameo, Hammond is disposed, Black Hand is Introduced, Atrocitus is Introed, Oa is established, Sinestro is featured...

              2nd Flick GL/Sinestro on Korugar
              3rd flick..Sinestro Corps WAR

Warner Bros is looking to shoot Batman 3 in New Orleans in April.

Hopefully we'll get some casting/script news as we get closer to 2011.

It wasn't suppose to be threatening... I thought what you were doing was funny and then it got even funnier when it didn't work. That's why the message started out with LOL. It's all good in the hood!

As far as Batman goes, why the hell would Bruce Wayne be in New Orleans?

Is that any clue as to who the villain could be...

Ra's al Ghul could fit in down there... I don't know.

Why would Bruce Wayne be in Chicago? He's from Gotham City!

Maybe it's the Narrows. New Orleans is shitty enough. Killer Croc would be the most likely connection to the south.

He was in Shanghai, China in the last movie. Bruce Wayne doesn't just fight crime in Gotham/Chicago in Nolan's universe. It's very likely they will actually use New Orleans as New Orleans in the movie. That's why I'm trying to think of why/who would be in New Orleans...

Killer Croc is a good guess, however he don't fit into the realistic feel of Nolan's universe...

Here's my random plot that will link Batman to New Orleans:

A young up incoming star FBI agent Edward Nigma is in New Orleans investigating the newest of a rash of murders. Apparently someone is picking off former Gotham City high ranking officials. The murders are perpetrated by a serial killer that leaves wired riddles as a calling card... Obviously Batman is in New Orleans area cleaning up the streets and avoiding the heat in Gotham... Nigma is actually behind the murders and was just using the case to further his career. His ultimate goal was to pin the murders on the hated Batman. Of course Batman gets wind of this and uses his superior detective skills to apprehend Nigma and expedite him back to Gotham. Unfortunately Two Face intercepts the police escort and frees Nigma. Now Batman has to come out of hiding and return to Gotham to clean up the mess.

                              End Act 1......

Goblinslayer sucks at Batman news -

Tom Hardy (Inception, Bronson) has signed on to Batman 3. Most likely, he'll be the villain.
